We have an 8:05 pm reservation at Ohana on a day when the Magic Kingdom closes at 9. What's the best way to get back to our room at POR after dinner using Disney transportation?

ETA: I think I may have figured out the answer but please chime in. Our reservation is for September 18 and it appears that Epcot has PM EMH that night (one website says Magic Kingdom has evening EMH on September 18, the others all say Epcot). Can we walk from the Poly to the TTC, ride the monorail to Epcot and then catch a bus back to POR? The buses and monorail run for an hour after park closing, right?

This should work.

You could also possibly take a bus from Poly to Downtown Disney, then a bus (boat?) to POR.

we either take the MK bus back (it will run for at least an hour after park closing), you can take the DTD and then boat back. But we usually watch Wishes, then spring for the cab directly back, it's about $20 and money well spent!

The first thing you need to know is that the buses run to the resorts for far later than just an hour after a park closes.

Agree with Robo. I think you'd have no problem taking the monorail back to MK and catching the bus from there. You should be done eating by 9:30.

I like the taxi idea a lot. As long as you don't use a cab everywhere you go, it shouldn't add too much to your budget and is so relaxing.

enjoy.

:)

Take the Bus from Poly to DTD, then you can take a bus from DTD to poly.

We did that! 830 ADRs at ohana. We spent the day at Ak and it was our last full day :( needless to say we were exhausted!!!!! The last thing we wanted was to get on the monorail and find the POR bus. So we got a taxi!!!!! It was the only time the whole 8 days we took one & it was so worth it. I don't remember the cost it was under 20$.

Out of all the things I would not do, I would not go to DTD. It seems that the transportation to and from DTD is the slowest at WDW by far.

We usually take taxis if we have ADRs at other resorts (we almost always stay at POR). It's made things a lot easier and should cost you about $20/22 and that includes your tip.

Take a taxi. We had dinner at Cali grill and we were done around 8:30. We took a taxi to akl. Best thing we did.

I wholeheartedly agree with this. Making the trip on Disney buses with a transfer at DTD can take forever.

We have taken buses to and from Poly and POR and both times each leg was an hour or more including the wait. They come by less frequently than the MK bus and I once waited at POR for 35 minutes for an MK bus.
