Okay, so I have all my adr ressies made and am now figuring out the transportation routes.

The monorail from my understanding goes to the polynesian and contemporary, as well as from the magic kingdom to epcot?

Buses go from your resort to the parks, but not from park to park, right?

I am trying to figure out the routes that I need to take in order to get to different ressies, and want to make sure I have the right transportation figured out!

There is an AK bus at Epcot too. And if you want to get from Epcot to DHS you can walk or take a boat, just go to International Gateway!! It is located between UK and France.

Hi! We just returned from a week at WDW on Friday. We stayed at a Disney resort; our ADRs were at Magic Kingdom, Epcot, DHS, Poly, Grande Floridian, and AKL. To get to the parks, we took the bus. To get to the other resorts, we took a bus to the closest park first, then took another bus to that resort, or the monorail.

Plan on a good 45 minutes travel time to get to another resort. Sometimes you have to wait quite a while for those busses!

Have fun!

There is direct transportation between all parks.

There is a DIRECT bus between Animal Kingdom and Disney's Hollywood Studios.
There is a DIRECT bus between Animal Kingdom and Epcot.
There is a DIRECT bus between Animal Kingdom and the TTC (and to/from there you take a monorail or ferry to/from Magic Kingdom).

There is a DIRECT bus between DHS and Epcot. You can also take a FriendShip boat from one to the other. You can also walk from one to the other.
There is a DIRECT bus between DHS and the TTC (and to/from there you take a monorail or ferry to/from Magic Kingdom)

To go from either AK or DHS to MK, your other choice is to take a bus to Contemporary, and then take the short walk from Contemporary to MK.

There is NO BUS between MK and Epcot ... from MK, you need to get to TTC (by monorail or ferry) and then from TTC you'd take the monorail to Epcot.

I am trying to figure out the routes that I need to take in order to get to different ressies, and want to make sure I have the right transportation figured out!

There are three Monorail loops.
1. Express Monorail- goes between the TTC(Transportation and Ticket center) and Magic Kingdom
2. Resort Loop- From TTC to Poly to GF to MK to CR and back to TTC.
3. Epcot Loop- From TTC to Epcot and back.
In order to get from MK to Epcot by Monorail you have to go to the TTC and then transfer to the Epcot loop. And do this in reverse to get from Epcot to MK.
Buses run between the parks and/or the TTC. Buses however do not go from resort to resort.
Where are you staying and what ADR's are you concerned about. Maybe we can help you figure out the best route.

One more thing - Buses from DTD go only to resorts, not to parks.

Plus a boat that goes in a loop to dhs, swan, dolphin, yacht club, boardwalw, and epcott.

someone had posted a link on here awhile back where you entered in your from info and your to info and it would tell you the most direct route and approx travel time. I have it saved on my favorites but for some reason I can't seem to copy and paste it...it's called olp transportation wizard - our laughing place - maybe searcg the boards here if you can't just pull it up on your browser.:wizard:

Thank you so much for the help!! I had no idea you could get direct park busses from another park! I thought that no matter where I went I had to go to the nearest resort and then pick up another bus. Thank you!

In my opinion, when going from Animal Kingdom to Magic Kingdom or from Hollywood Studios to Magic Kingdom it is easier to take the Contemporary Resort bus instead of the TTC bus and walk from the Contemporary Resort (8 minute walk from CR Bus Stop to Magic Kingdom Turnstiles)) to Magic Kingdom. This eliminates the stop at TTC to transfer to the Monorail or Ferry. The same route can be done in reverse.:)
