Is it easy to get back and forth from the Magic Kingdom to the Grand Floridian?

We have planned on a Wednesday to be at the Magic Kingdom but during that day I would like to bring my daughter the the tea party and the Grand Floridian and then go back to meet up with the family at the Magic Kingdom again.

Is this an easy thing to do or should I try and schedule the tea party another day? Thanks:)

Sure. Either take the monorail, or faster, boat launch from the east dock of the MK.

Yes it's very easy. There is a boat that goes from the MK to GF where GF is the 1st stop or the monorail where GF is the last stop. On the way back the MK is the 1st stop on the monorail from the GF

Super easy. To get to the GF, take the boat that goes to the GF and Poly and back to MK. GF is first stop. When done, go to the monorail stop at the GF. The MK is the first stop. If there are problems with the monorail, or you want to the boat back to the MK, keep in mind it will go to the Poly and then back to the MK. You could also take the resort monorail to the GF from the MK, but it will make 3 stops first. Plus I like the boat going to the GF. And just a short walk from the boat to the tea party.

Thank you so much!! How long is the boat ride? I am just trying to figure out when to leave MK to make it to the tea party on time:)

I'm thinking 5 minutes or so, but it does take a few minutes to load and unload. Plus depending on timing you may have to wait a few minutes for the boat. My estimation, but do wait for others, is give yourself 30 minutes or so from when you leave the exit gate at MK to get to the tea party. And 30 minutes may be longer than it takes, but you don't want to rush or be late. But going to GF from MK and back is easy and quick.

The boat ride itself is only about 5 minutes, but keep in mind that you also need to leave time for:

1) walking from wherever you are in MK to the boat launch.

2) waiting for a boat - they run roughly every 20 minutes, there might be one there when you arrive, or you might have to wait the full 20 minutes.

3) walking from the boat launch at GF to the main building.

All in all, I'd probably plan to be at the MK boat launch 45 minutes before the tea party starts.

I see that you're planning to drop off your daughter and go back to MK. That, I would't recommend. The tea party is only an hour. By the time you meet up with your family at MK, you'll need to turn around and go right back to GF.

I think OP planned on bringing daughter to GF, and then return to MK together when party is over. But perhaps I am wrong.

Yes:). I am taking her there, waiting for her at GF, then going back to MK to meet up with our family:)
