Getting from MK to Boardwalk Villas

I need a little help with my 'planning'. We're planning on being at MK late one night. Originally we had planned on riding the monorail to Epcot and walking through the park to the back exit and walking from there to the Boardwalk. Will that be possible? I think Epcot will be closed. Is there a way to walk around Epcot (towards the Beach Club) and get through to the Boardwalk? Any ideas? Thanks very much. . .

You didn't give any times or dates, so I don't know if Epcot will be closed or not.

But regardless, you don't need to use the Monorail at all for this.
There is bus service directly to (and from) Boardwalk area (Boardwalk, Yacht and Beach Club, Swan & Dolphin, etc.) from right in front of MK (no need to go even to TTC).

Buses run until an hour (or more) after the MK closes (EMH or regular hours).

Sorry ( I'm such a newie) . . . according to our 'penciled' plans, the date would be Sunday, Sept 10. We're a little worried about buses. There will be 16 of us including a couple of grandparents and possibly some small kids/strollers. They might retire early, but I want to make sure I know our options in case they decide to stay. Thanks.

Take the bus from the MK to BWV. Its a lot of walking from the bus stop to the entrance to Epcot to the International gateway to the BWV- Maybe 1.5 miles or longer.

It took us 10 minutes just to walk to test track from the international gateway.

The nice thing about the Mk/BWV bus is that the BWV are the 1st stop !!

About the buses. -- The buses have both seating and standing room so chances are that you all will be able to ride together and any type of fold up stroller will fit on the bus.

HAVE A GREAT TRIP !

I would advise against walking through EPCOT with kids (or even grandparents). It's a much longer walk than you may think, you would be much better off taking a bus to and from MK.

Definately take a bus. The walk if very long especially after a long day at the parks.

The bus stops going from MK to BWV have actual lines to mark were people are. Just make sure all of you get in line togther and there shouldn't be any issue of you all riding the same bus. If you get to the front of the line first there shouldn't be an issue of sitting either.

How do you plan to get to MK? The monorail? Just remember the monorail should take an hour at least to travel to MK as you have to change monorails at TCC.

Depending on how the busses are run during your stay, you may want to take a different bus. On one of our trips the line for the BW bus was well over a bus load. There were not many waiting for the S/D bus, and it showed up first. It isa short walk from the S bus stop, in fact there were quite a few others doing the same thing.

Of course you have to be willing to do a little extra walking, so it may not appeal to many.

There's a free boat that will take you from Swan & Dolphin to the "center" of the Boardwalk, if you'd like, too.

OK . . . I'm convinced. We'll catch the bus. We're trying to get to the Boardwalk since we're staying at the Villas.
