Hi All!

We will be driving to Epcot and later in the day we will want to get to the Hoop Dee Doo Revue and also check in at CBR.

Should we
a)Drive from Epcot To HDD and afterwards to CBR?
or
b)Drive from Epcot To CBR, take bus to HDD
or
c)Drive from Epcot To CBR, and drive to HDD

Which is the best choice and where are these three places in relation to each other?

Thanks to all the experts out there!

Oh, and on another day....is it better to drive or take the bus from CBR to Disney Quest?

There is no direct bus service between CBR and FW where HDD is located. There may be no service available at all when HDD is over.

If it were me, I would check in first at CBR to get my resort IDs and unload the car if the room is available.

Next, I'd drive to FW to drop off the car. I'd take a bus to Epcot from there.

I would take the bus back from Epcot to FW for HDD. The car would be waiting when HDD is over.

As long as you have a car, drive to Disney Quest. It's a quick and easy route.

I think I'd do C. That way your aren't depending on bus transportation when you have time issues.

I believe that if you take the bus to HDD, it drops you off at Ft Wilderness in the same area as the parking lot (Outpost). Wither way, you have to take an internal FW bus to get to the Settlement area. On the way back it will probably be easiest to get a bus from settlement to the Outpost & drive your car to the resort.

Let's see what the experts have to say! :)

Oh, and the bus from FW to Epcot ALSO drops you off at the Outpost area, requiring one of the FW busses to Settlement.

As far as CBR to Disney Quest, I agree. It's such a short drive that it's probably faster to take your car than to wait for a bus.

So, it looks like we should drive to CBR from Epcot and then either bus or drive to FW from there? I was concerned with this comment however:
There is no direct bus service between CBR and FW where HDD is located. There may be no service available at all when HDD is over

Can anyone confirm or deny?

I'm sure they have to get the people home from HDD somehow! But I have heard that sometimes you have to wait.

I really think the easiest thing will be having your own car. That way, you can get on any of the internal FW busses (yellow, orange or purple) because they all go back to the outpost, where your car will be parked. There is even a separate area of the FW parking lot that says "HDD parking" or something similar. It's the second entrance, just follow the signs. :)

I agree! Choice C it is then!

Thanks for everybody's help....we will drive from Epcot to CBR to HDD. That way there will be no problem.

Now, on to the next question....how long a drive from Epcot to CBR? ....and how long from CBR to HDD? does anybody have a map of The World so I can see where these things are in relation to each other?

Thanks!

It's only a 10 minute drive from Epcot to CBR. When you exit, follow the signs for the Downtown Disney area... that will take you onto 536 eastbound. You'll want to take the first exit (marked All Guest Areas). At the traffic light, go straight. At the major intersection, merge right onto Buena Vista Drive. CBR is just a few hundred feet on the left.

From CBR to Fort Wilderness... Exit out the main entrance by the Customs House. Take a RIGHT onto Buena Vista Drive. You'll go through a traffic light, and under a bridge. At the next intersection, take a LEFT onto Bonnet Creek. Go to the end of Bonnet Creek, ignoring all the FW signs. When you can go straight no more, take a LEFT onto Vista Blvd. You'll come to a security checkpoint. Tell them you're going to the HDD, and you'll then take an immediate RIGHT into the Fort Wilderness parking lot. From there, board any bus that says "SETTLEMENT" on it. To return to you car, board any bus that says "OUTPOST."

Total drive time to Fort Wilderness, 12 minutes, depending on traffic. Settlement/Outpost busses typically depart on the :10 minute mark (subject to driver discresion), and it's a 5 minute bus ride. If you have a choice between colors, the Orange bus will be the quickest. Yellow will be the second quickest. Purple has to make the most stops, so it will be the slowest. However, the difference in time is really only 1-2 minutes tops.

To return to CBR, take a LEFT as you exit FW onto Vista Blvd. At the first traffic light, take a RIGHT onto Bonnet Creek. Go as far as you can, and take a RIGHT onto Buena Vista Drive. CBR will be a mile down the road on the left.

Uh-oh, our bus driver just got lost. :p

If they turn tight out of FW they're heading toward the MK resorts. They want to turn LEFT coming out of FW. :)

LMAO... I guess two rights does make a wrong! Well, I meant thier OTHER right... yeah... thats it... LOL

I corrected the post, thank you for pointing out what my dyslexia really meant. :)

The last two times that we have gone to the HDD, we have not had a car. We were staying at the Caribbean & All Star Music. Both times we took the hotel bus to the Magic Kingdom & then got on the boat to Fort Wilderness. It is a nice walk from the dock to where the HDD is held. We 'love' the HDD!!!! After the HDD was over, there were busses waiting close by to get us back to our hotel. If the Magic Kingdom is still open when you get out of the HDD, you can take the boat back to the MK & then catch your hotel bus from there. This worked great of us both times. We have never had any problems with Disney Transportation. Lots better than fitting the traffic in your car!! :D

Guess that I 'goofed' - it would be kind of hard to 'fit' all of the traffic in your car - I meant to say 'fighting' the traffic!! :D

Gee Tyler, for a minute when I first read what you originally wrote, I thought Disney had built a cloverleaf overpass there. ;)
