Is it really hard at alll to get from deck to deck and what deck are most of the rooms located? Are the kids area's far away from where the adults are?

There are plenty of stairs and elevator banks in the cruise ship and very easy to get from deck to deck. We have had rooms on Deck 5, where the kids' areas are, and never, ever had problems with hearing them! Also, the adult areas of the ship (and Castaway Cay) are separated and again, we've never had problems. We cruise as adults with no children, so it makes a big difference to us.

Getting from deck to deck you can take the stairs or an elevator..not hard at all!

As far as kids and adults...on the magic..we had a full ship and hardly ever saw any kids. On the wonder..again a full ship..and there were kids everywhere!

Guess it just depends on the time of day and what you are doing!

It was really easy to get from deck to deck. It seemed like you were only a couple of flights from wherever you were going (and we stayed on Deck 1). I got a little confused when it came to getting to Deck 10 (Palo, Spa). I also sometimes got confused on forward and aft. Making your way around the ship is half the fun.

From the upper decks (9 and 10) and the decks with verandah cabins rappelling also is an option.:jester:

Getting from deck to deck is easy, either using elevators or stairs (recommended excercise after big meals!). It's a little more confusing to know if you're forward, midship, or aft. Watch for signs and have fun exploring the ship!

I recommend either using the stairs, or the elevators not located in the center of the ship. Those in the center (that go through the atrium) are almost always crowded. The elevators are tiny and it's almost always faster and easier to walk the stairs unless you're going from the bottom of the ship to the top or vice versa.

Can I just say -- LOL LOL LOL. thanks for the chuckle today :)

We have a verandah cabin - 6052 on the Magic. We'll have to look out for rappellers.

maybe they can make that an activity like the rock wall on RCI. Just a thought????:confused3

So what you are saying that it depends on what deck you are on. I am going on the wonder instead of magic and I am pretty sure that we are going to be on the lower decks. Plus is there a lot of big meals.:wave2: ::MickeyMo ::MinnieMo

P.S. LOL LOL LOL!!! What is with the Spiderman dude?:confused3

Wonder / Magic

For all intents and purposes the ships are indentical. I know there are many cruisers out there that will be happy to list the differences like Tritons and Lumieres, but for purposes of this thread they are identical.

The ships are mainly divided into three parts: Forward, Midship, and Aft (back) Have a look at the Disney Cruise Line website, in particular the deck plans which illustrate that there are three main elevators. Next to each set of elevators is a set of staircases.

Your options are many to get around the ship. Please look at the deck plans they will help you get around the ship.

Example: Deck 8

Jeff

P.S. I do agree with an earlier poster. The midship elevators are the busiest.

I think we took elevators twice. The stairs are convienient and easy - and to make it even easier, we were on Deck 6 - three easy flights up from the pool and one or two easy flights from the kids clubs and the restaurants and theatres.

I really studied the ship plan before I left to try and get an idea of the layout....but the ship was much easier to navigate than I anticipated - and since we went to the same places over and over again we quickly knew where we were going.
