DHS, how do I get there? We will not have a car. I know I can probably take the bus but are there any other alternative ways? Can I take the monorail? I feel like I should know this but I've never stayed at a monorail resort so I've never had a reason to find out. Is there a combination I can use, like monorail then walk, or monorail then boat??? Just curious. TIA

You can take the monorail to Epcot, but you'll have to walk through Epcot and out the International Gateway to catch the boat. Or you can just walk through Epcot and keep walking to DHS. It's about a 20 minute walk after you leave the International Gateway.

You could take the monorail to Epcot, but that will involve riding the monorail from the CR to the TTC then transferring to the Epcot line. Then riding to Epcot, entering the park and walking to the rear of the park where you can get a boat to DHS or walk along the canal. Or you could get a bus from Epcot to DHS.
I would just take the bus to DHS from CR...much faster.

I would say to take the bus from the Contemporary because their bus station is not that far away from Bay Lake Tower.

If you're looking for something different, you could walk over to the MK bus stops and take a bus to YC/BC/BW and walk from any of those stops to the park.

...or you could take the monorail to the TTC then take the bus from there. (Er, they still offer bus service to the other parks from the TTC, right?)

...or you could take the boat to Wilderness Lodge from the Contemporary and then take the bus from there to DHS.

But I'd just take the bus from your own resort if I were you. ;)

Thanks for all the great responses. We like to venture around and see different things. I think you're all right in that we'll take the bus over to DHS but I think we may try some of your alternatives routes on our way back. In OCT DHS closes early so when we leave the park, I think we'll walk or take the boat over to BW/YC/BC area and check that out. Then maybe we'll walk thru EPCOT, hopefully catch some fireworks and grab the monorail back.

Thanks!!!!

IF you do the monorail to Epcot, you will have to 'enter' Epcot to walk thru to the International gate. If you dont have park hoppers, you wont be able to enter DHS as you would have used Epcot as your major park for that day. If you have hoppers or an annual pass, that wouldnt be an issue. Would hate for you to get to DHS just to find out you couldnt get in :)

Like I said, just a 'reminder' so you dont get suprised ;)
