Getting from Anacortes to Bellingham Airport

We found dirt cheap flights from BLI to SNA. So now we just need to get to BLI.

We're obviously considering walking on the Sidney->Anacortes ferry, but once we get to Anacortes, how do we get to BLI?
I can't find a shuttle or bus route or anything.

Any ideas?

The drive is a about 50miles and about 1-1.5hrs long. It won't save you any money over taking the BC Ferry and driving down to Bellingham, the drive is shorter, and you have more ferries running.

We are in Victoria too and are looking to take the Clipper down to Seattle the evening before our flight, stay in a hotel, no car. The flights out of Seaatle to the LA area airports are even cheaper for our dates than Bellingham.
