Getting from AKL to Universal Orlando

For our trip in late September / early October .. what will be the best method of transportation getting from Animal Kingdom Lodge (Kidani) to Universal? Are Ubers still reliable? And if so, how early can they pick you up at the resort? Thanks in advance

I'm planning to drive (rent a car) but Uber and Lyft should be ok. You *might* be able to pre-schedule an Uber but it depends on the market.

In March we had no issues using lyft.
I turned on both apps to see who was closer and could get to me sooner.. I waited about 7 mins
We were going to rent a car but with added expense of parking just stayed with uber/lyft

We used a taxi our last trip and got a good rate which was higher than Uber but still competitive so we went that route.

Uber and Lyft are still reliable.I
Availability will fluctuate, as all drivers are contractors and not employees.
Many timeshare drivers are Disney CMs, Universal TMs, etc.
Prescheduling a rideshare is a bad idea.
Taxis are available 24/7/366+/-1.
