Getting Fastpasses with non-activated APs

We were at WDW in October and purchased APs to take advantage of the promotion that was being offered. Our plan is to activate the APs when we go down for a longer trip in March. Even though the passes are not yet activated can we still plan on choosing Fastpasses in January when the 60 day window arrives? They gave us the plastic cards so should I assume that they will be the actual passes and that the numbers on the back will be what we can use to get our Fastpasses?

You'll have no issue making FP+ selections once your 60-day window opens!

You can definitely link them to your MDE and use them to prebook FP. However, have a look at the tickets page of the MDE to see how your new APs are listed. If they're not activated, they're vouchers - and you'll have to stop at guest services to exchange them for the actual passes when you activate them.
