Getting Extra Fastpass+ after you use the first 3. Questions.

After I use my first 3 fast passes, I understand that I will be able to get a 4th... then after I use that.. i get a 5th etc..

So.. I go back to the hotel during the afternoon, after I've used my first 3 fast passes. Can I get on my laptop go to the My Disney Experience Site and Book my 4th fast pass like I have already done for the first 3? (I'm able to book fast passes for the whole party).

Now, after I used the 4th one, I'll be at the park. I'll want to make a 5th one for the entire party. Does the fast pass kiosk last me do that? Or do I need everyone to scan their bands? Does the disney app let me do that? (for my whole party?).. What's my best option in the park. App or Kiosk?

1. No. Only at a kiosk at the park in which you want to use the FP.
2. Not via the app or website. Only at a kiosk at the park in which you want to use the FP.
3. "Does the fast pass kiosk ALLOW me (just one person) do that?" Yes.

6. You have no choice. You can only book via the kiosks.

Once you have BOOKED the 4th (or 5th, etc.) FP+ for your group via the kiosk, you can THEN
use the app or website to ALTER the FPs for your group. (Change attraction and/or time.)

If you are at a WDW resort, you can ask the concierge if (s)he can make a 4th FP+ reservation for your group. Sometimes the concierge can/will do that for you.

Really? The app and the web site don't let you get extra fast passes? Are you serious? Why is this? Seems that would make things a lot easier. I've got days where i'm going to epcot during the 2nd half of the day.. So i'm going to have to wait till I get there to see if I can get a fast pass? Are the kiosk right when you walk in?

How does it work for a part of 10, do i have to go thru the process 10 times? Or do I select the fast pass I want, and just have each member scan their magic band?

Just adding to what Robo said, after you get your additional FP at a kiosk, you CAN change it to another attraction or time from your MDE app. But it initially has to be obtained at the kiosk...

Yea, really, you have to wait till you get to the second park.
You don't need to scan everyone if you're all linked. You can scan and then select the people in your party you're choosing for and then pick from what's available.
There has been a lot of speculation that they will eventually allow 4th plus to be booked from the app, but it hasn't hapened yet.
I have a feeling they don't want people booking them on their way to lunch and then not using them .... Tying up the availability and lessening the effectiveness of the program.

No. If the people in your party are all listed in your MDE, you can go all by yourself, scan your band, pick the people on your friends list that you want to book a FP for and then choose an attraction for all of them.

And yes, I've heard that people with CL accommodations are able to have the concierge at the hotel book FPs for them. I haven't heard of this being available to everyone though .... Of course I could be wrong, I haven't tried it myself.

I answered "yes" to you being able to book your entire party at the kiosk when you asked it above. (#3)

I, too, have not seen any reports of anyone at any resort level of service being refused this service.

My guess is that they want people to WORK a little for those extra fast passes .. otherwise
1) All fast passes for the day (even for minor rides) would be sucked up very quickly (perhaps by lunch)
2) You'd have people just grabbing fast passes "just because" they can easily.
3) This gives the advantage to people who have smart phones (and choose to carry them in the park with them)

It basically slows down the process ... otherwise Fast Passes would be gobbled up quickly and defeat the whole purpose of FP+.

I found going to the kiosks last time not that bad .. especially since ONE person can go and do it for the whole family. (Unfortunately not everyone in the kiosk line realizes this) ..

In general I don't like the 4th fast pass system as it gives distinct advantage to the people who CAN and CHOOSE to have all their fast passes scheduled for the morning hours. I did that on my last trip and was able to easily get my 4th, 5th and 6th fast passes (though some for "minor" rides (which we didn't care because we had a toddler). But if my 3rd fast pass wasn't until 4:00 PM? I would probably would have had to wait in lines with an antsy toddler.

I used FP+ for the first time last week. We used 3 FP at AK then spent the afternoon at MK. While enroute to MK, I thought I could use the MDE to book a FP for the afternoon at MK but learned that the kiosks were the only way. Plus most of the FP were gone for the evening anyway.

I'm just park hopping.. and i'm going to have to get that 4th FP+ for the 2nd park.. and It looks like my best bet is to ask the hotel people to book it for me, as I'm scheduling a nice hour and 1/2 break every day.

I might not need to get them anyways.. last time I went was in 2011 before FP+ .. for example EPCOT according to touring plans was going to be 5/10. And when we arrived in the afternoon there was NO line for spaceship earth. Now touring plans says EPCOT is going to be a 4/10 - but it's saying the line for spaceship earth in the afternoon is going to be 20 min long! That doesn't seem to match my first experience. I'm hoping to walk in and see no line at spaceship earth.

Well, things are different now because of FP+. So there will be a line for Spaceship Earth even on a "low" crowd day. That's just the way it is.

This ain't 2011. Spaceship Earth is one of the "casualties" of FP+. It has gone from a "no lines" attraction to a "line all day" attraction. Now, 20 minutes isn't bad, but it's certainly not the walkon it used to be.

FWIW, I am a guest who had my regular hotel concierge make my 4th FP+ for me while we were back at the hotel, no problem.
