My daughters favorite character is Donald Duck :donald: , she LOVES when he shakes his tail or stomps his feet. I always make a point to joke with Donald when ever we see him, I always say something like "hey Donald, we heard you love to hang out with Mickey" or something like that and he always puts on a little show for us.

Are there any other characters that will put on a show just by saying something to them??

My DD - then 5 - got Minnie to "blush" & look for Mickey when she said she just saw her boyfriend in the other room.

Also - just before that - my DD was wearing a Minnie Mouse eared baseball hat. Chip & Dale saw my DD with it on & Minnie Mouse was 5 feet away (we were inside a character meet & greet). They took my DD's hat & started "fighting" over who was going to wear it. Chip & Dale took turns imitating Minnie while wearing the hat. The whole room was in hysterics!

I find if you forget they are characters & treat them as who they really are, you get to see their personalities!

My dh always has to bend down and give Minnie a "kiss" on her cheek and ask when she is going to run away with him LOL. I always tell him that some day Bubba in the suit is going to be at our hotel waiting on him heheheeh :rotfl:

Yes I always talk to them, I always use there name, "Hi Minnie", "Thank you Goofy" etc etc.
I am always amazed at the looks I get from the adults in line. Some people need to lighten up a little ;)

A few years ago, my family and I were eating dinner at Chef Mickey's. Minnie was 'flirting' with my dad, and Mickey apparently got jealous, because he proposed to my sister. :) He kneed on the ground and everything. it was hysterical!

You mean the characters aren't real?? :earseek: I wouldn't dream of not talking to them "in character!" That's part of the fun. I might be 38, but when Cinderella walks toward me, I certainly treat her like a princess! I'm just as mesmerized as a 4 year old!

We always have a blast playing Chip & Dale against each other. :) Plus Chip usually doesn't like it when you call him Dale. Can't imagine why. :rotfl2:

While we were standing in line I asked the CM standing next to us how we could get Donald to shake his tail, I was hoping she would have something a little different then what I came up with. SHe said, "just walk up and ask him to do it" ...... hmmm "NO" thats NO fun at all. Neadless to say we stuck with the fun little Mickey jokes and they worked just fine!!

Do you think she was just a bit dule or is it not politicaly correct for us to *play* with Donald the way we do ??

Several years ago DH and I were eating at Liberty Tree Tavern before MVMCP. Minnie walked up and started to sign to me. I was so surprised and really enjoyed that.
Another time we were at Animal Kingdom watching the parade with the Sign Language interpreters and Pluto jumped up on the box and started signing the music. The interpreter stepped down and allowed Pluto to continue. It was neat!
