Getting directions to WDW locations...are there addresses to put in Mapquest?

I need directions and travel times from, say, Magic Kingdom to the Orlando Convention Center. How do I get them? Is there an address for MK (and for other places -- resorts, etc.) that I can put into Mapquest? For some reason it didn't like "Magic Kingdom," and for "Walt Disney World" Mapquest gave me the information center in Ocala!

Or is there a better way than Mapquest to get directions to various spots in WDW from places inside and outside WDW?

BTW, I have gotten lost WITHOUT FAIL at least once every time I've gone to WDW. Their signs are terrible! I really don't have time to waste driving in circles.

On deb's site there are addresses for all the resorts.
I don't find the signage to be bad at WDW, I find them to be very accurate and find it very easy to get around the world.

In terms of getting directions to a place outside WDW, you can put in the zip code 32830 as your starting point. That will start you out from a spot near Epcot, and direct you to where you want to go. If you know how to get around within WDW, it should be pretty straightforward to pick up the trail at a convenient spot.

http://www.orlandoinfo.com/magicard/ You can send for a free visitors kit. Included will be two area maps. I've used them offsite many times. I found an easy toll free way to get from the airport to WDW. The convention center is clearly marked on the map. There are also maps online for all of the Orlando area on this website.

Gail, I spent some time poking around Deb's site, and didn't find addresses. But then again I'm the one who always gets lost at WDW. Do you know specifically where they are there? (The one I need most is CR/MK since I'll be leaving from there to go to the convention center.)

That is so odd, they have address for almost every single resort, but, not the Contemp.

For future reference, the address for SOME of the resorts is on Deb's site, under accomodations, specific resort, fact sheet.

I get lost very easily, but, not at WDW, go figure. New Haven is still a lose, lose situation for me. I ALWAYS get lost.

Mapquest tells me it'll take 20 minutes to get around the corner from my house, so I don't put too much credence in time estimates that they give.

I too have never had a problem navigating the world. It's one of the easier places that I've driven.

Using Mapquest.com is great in some instances, but getting around the I-4 corridor can spoil any estimates. Time of day going eastbound or westbound changes any estimate.

BTW, did you finalize your route from the Contemp. to the Convention Center? There are a few ways to go, and traffic conditions dictate the route.

So what IS the best way to get from MK/MGM/POR to the convention center? Two days I'll be leaving a park mid-day, going to the convention center for the afternoon, and probably going back to a different park in the evening. (Likely to be MK and EPCOT the first day, and MGM and EPCOT the second day.) Three days I'll be leaving from POR in the morning, and returning there in the evening. I want to spend as little time as possible on the road, and as much time as possible having fun with my mom and kids (who are reaping the benefits of THIS business trip!)
