You may remember that the kids and I were helping my Dad out by making a scarecrow for their village scarecrow trail. Well, we've made a start today - after having yet another change of heart about our theme.

We're now doing Pirates of the Caribbean.

We have made the body of the scarecrow and I have spent all afternoon making a papier mache face/mask - it took me right back to my school days, making papier mache baskets for Mothers Day - and the paste still makes me feel sick now

The kids are busy making a cutlass and doubloons :rotfl:

I will keep you posted with some pictures once we're finished and also let you know how we get on next weekend - please pray for a fine day for us :goodvibes

Meanwhile, if anyone is interested I've put a link to the village website below, which has got some great pictures of the last couple of years events - check out Rapunzel from last year :thumbsup2
