Getting coolers around park

We would like to bring in at least two soft sided coolers into the park to carry some food and drinks for our family of six. The coolers are within the dimensions allowed but still are fairly large. We plan on bringing a stroller but it would be a tough fit for the stroller.

Any suggestions on how to transport the coolers around the park?

Rent a locker. Or two. But that will certainly eat into any cost savings.

If you are staying onsite I advise you to bring backpack. Night before freeze 12 juice packs put sandwiched between them and nut or chips on top.Sorry I can't give you better information. As far as water you can go any QS spot and gey free ice water so really no need to carry water.Unless you freeze you freeze one or two to help keep food cool.

Quick Service witch doesn't include any sit down dining location.Comic Rays is example of QS.

Your only option for carrying them around with you is the stroller or your backs. Disney doesn't allow any other kind of wheeled conveyance in the parks (except for a wheel chair, of course).

I recommend really trying to fit everything into one cooler. I was able to pack lunch for a group of five in a soft-sided cooler. I got a cooler with a long strap so I was able to hang it over the stroller straps. I freeze water bottles instead of using ice and this way you can see cooler space. It is soooooo nice being able to stop and eat whenever you are hungry and bit having to worry about deciding where/what to eat. Good luck!

I just wish Disney would better enforce the rules about wheeled coolers and backpacks that people can pull behind them. In the crowd leaving after Illuminations one night, three people cut in front of me with one that tripped me making me sprain an ankle. Stopped at Guest Services to complain and the only thing they would say was send my comments to the GS email.

I understand the need for brining in food with the size of your family. It was mentioned about renting a locker and that would help, but that would mean you having to go back to the locker to get the food and the added cost. I work construction and I know how heavy the coolers get to carry around and that is a consideration for walking around in the parks. Years ago I went to college and had to lug around a backback full of books and it as big enough to fit in a themos and sandwiches; it was heavy. So by exprience of those 2 I can say not to get backback type of coolers. You say the coolers you have would be a tight fit for the stroller I think that means you have them aleady, a thought would be if you could get different 1's that were a bit smaller and fit in better in the stroller. Another thought is to attach 1 of the coolers to a cord and hang it from the stroller handles. And 1 other thing to remember is a little hidden isuue at WDW , there has been a rise in people stealing items left behind on strollers, not publisized much but it happens so that is a reality and something to think about.

No way would I leave my food unattended in a stroller. I would suggest either a locker or leaving someone to watch it. Honestly, without the stroller I don't see how anyone could carry 2 coolers with enough food for all day for that many people plus ice all day in the parks and enjoy the day. If they are too large to go in the stroller, they would definitely be a nuisance to take on rides, probably impossible on some rides.

But you don't have experience in the MaxColds and I do. And I recommend them. My son started carrying ours around when he was 8. And we load it up with water. Tons of water. Nice thing is that as you drink the water it gets lighter! Like magic. :)

Family of 6 means you could bring 6 of 'em in and have 6 lighter coolers. Or use 3 and have them reasonably full. We use one for the 3 of us and we have high water needs. I rarely drink park water (Florida water is not something I enjoy drinking) but DH and DS don't mind too much. That's mainly what we carry, along with emergency protein bars.

Quick service dining location.

If you don't want to use a locker, I would have each family member carry their own pack of supplies in, to the best of their ability. Even very young children can carry a small backpack with a few things in there. Kind of like if you were going hiking for the day.

One other thing to keep in mind is you will have to open all those coolers when you go through bag check, so make sure they are easily accessible at that time.

Yes. That's what I would do. Everyone gets there own backpack for food, hats, sunglasses, etc...
