She's definitely in my prayers, they said she can face up to 5 years of jail time.

I also feel very very badly for her, her fiance, and their families... Its sad to think something like a wedding can make her do what she did. I just hope everything works out with her and she gets the help thats needed. Her fiance is a great man to still want to marry her, and accept her for making this huge mistake. They are also in our prayers!

On the news they stated they were expecting 600 guests to attend the wedding, that alone would be overwhelming, I'm sure.

I feel badly for the caterer who ordered $30,000 dollars worth of food (just spoke with him). Not to mention the people who lost a well paying job for that night.

I feel badly for the police department who has no more overtime budget for the rest of the year.

I feel badly for the people who took time off to walk thru the kudzu and sewers looking for this selfish person.

I feel badly for the Hispanic community in this town who translated missing posters....only to have a finger pointed at a Hispanic male as a kidnapper.

I feel sorry for the community that was scared of the predator in their midst.

I don't feel badly at all for her. If she did not want her disappearance to look suspicious she should have taken her ID and cell phone....left the diamond. From what I understand this woman does not feel she did anything wrong....well...she didn't...until she told a lie.

Yes....I also worked OT last week....our town in right next door and our one person communications room for the police department could not handle all the calls. People who needed the police could not get through.

Meezers, thanks for reminding us of the other side. It is just sad that she felt that the only way was to run away. I personally have not heard any interviews with her, so I can't comment on that.

I dont feel badly for her either. She is a very selfish person who didnt even bother to think of what her actions would do to her family and friends. They thought she was dead for crying out loud!! What the hell is wrong with her? I could never let my family go through the agony of thinking I might be dead or kidnapped. What kind of person is she?? What a self-centered brat! So she got cold-feet? So the heck what??? Lots of people get cold feet and either the deal with it or they break off the engagement like a normal person. What the heck???
I hope to God she goes to jail and has to pay a hefty fine for what she did. The city and the police force had to use their resources to try to find her when they could have been using it to find a real missing person. She is a really horrible person.
And I cant beleive that her fiance still wants to marry her! What is wrong with him???? What a chump!! Who would want a lying, deceitful, selfish woman like that for a wife and mother of his future kids??? UGH!!!!

Hispanics Across America has filed a formal complaint for her outright lies about being abducted by a Hispanic male. Good for them!

The fiance should run for the hills.....the lawsuits are going to be coming in thick and fast. And rightfully so!

Once again....she did not break any law until she lied! That is what I am most upset about....the premeditation and the lie!

I still feel sorry for her, being selfish is not showing up on the day of the wedding, what she did was plain insanity, she obviously needs psychiatric help. Her fiance may understand that about her, especially since they have been living together for over 4 years.

Well not showing up on your wedding day due to cold feet and pretending you were kidnapped and making your family and friends think you were possibly dead and putting your fiance through a lie detector is selfish in my book and dont feel a bit sorry for her. She is a criminal and I dont feel sorry for criminals. I feel sorry for their victims.
