getting cabin at a discount in january?

part 2 to my post below--

we will be booking out flight and cabin through a travel agent, ( every thing else we will do)

i was quoted 239$ per nt for cabin- so i am budgeting 250 $ and at 5 nths = $1,000.
i see on mousesavers that there is / was a code for possibly getting cabin for 155$? but nothing for our travel time frame....do you think there will be anouther code out later this year for january?
is there any outher ways that you know of to get that rate discounted ? are there any ways to have the travel agent use disounts that only travel agents can do? -
what have you paid pr /nt for the cabin?

We always paid rack for the cabins, but that was before I discovered the Dis or mousesavers. I really think you'll come out ahead if you just book the cabin yourself. It is a little early for any of the discounts for Jan, so just make your ressies at rack and then watch (closely!) for the discounts and call ASAP then and modify your ressie. They will have codes for the general public, AP rates, and AAA rates that I can think of now. No guarantees for any discounts for any time, but you can always hope and try. The most you'd have to pay is rack.......

Just for historical info, we'd booked a cabin for January 2004 a long time in advance, at rack value rate of course -- but mousesavers came up with a code a couple of months before our trip, which brought the pre-tax rate below $200 per night.

Now we have AAA and so have booked a cabin for October with that -- and I'm hoping for an October discount! However I suspect the chances for a Jan. code are better because of lower demand...

I also agree with campingcorgi that it may be simpler to book the ressies yourself... it would also remove the middleman so you can jump on a discount immediately...
