Just to make sure my thinking cap is working properly.... :lmao:

If I order an alcoholic beverage with dinner (not included in the DP) can I get a bottle of water to go that would be included in the dining plan?

Do TS restaurants have bottled water? Will my server think I am crazy:upsidedow ? What about bottled water vs. tap water? Could I get tap water to drink with my meal and bottled to go with me? Am I overdoing the "frugalness" here?

I just don't want to use all my snack credits for bottled water....

Thanks! :flower3:

i don't recall seeing bottled water at any TS restaurants, unless you count the sparkling stuff... so i'm thinking that no, your plan would not work... so you might as well enjoy the soft drink or the poured water...

as far as using snack credits for water, here's what we do... we order a case or two of water from staples before we go and have it shipped to our resort... put it in the freezer compartment or turn the fridge up really high so it's icy cold and then bring it with us in the mornings or whenever we leave the resort... we found it to be a huge savings...

another option is to split a bottle of water that you buy w/a snack credit by asking any counter service/snack location for a cup of ice... they are more than happy to oblige! :)

I also do not think you can get bottled water at TS. You can get it at counter service though. I don't know the ages of your party, but we often shared sodas at CS. Some places will let you order a large soda and it is very large...to big for me or my daughter. We shared that and ordered a bottle of water to save for later. Some people have said that they asked for an extra cup or you could get a cup of ice to put the extra soda in. I didn't try it, but I might next time. We just drank out of the same cup.

Well, my party consists of DH and I - two grown-up children! :thumbsup2

I don't think we're going long enough this trip to drink 24 bottles of water! Otherwise, it would have been a good idea! If I could order 12 bottles I would consider it!

It makes sense that bottled water isn't available at TS now that I think of it... I knew this thinking cap wasn't working properly today.

Does anyone else have these problems the closer you get to heading back to the World? I *can't* be the only one! :confused3

What I did on our last trip was while on the DP and you eat
breakfast you get 2 drinks so I got 2 bottled waters, put one
in the rooms fridge and drank one with breakfast.
Used my Snack credits toward water or bought the Pint size water
at the gift shop grocery store for the room (only cost slightly more
than the small bottle).
When ordering CS I choose Bottled water as my drink.
I also purchased a Refillable mug at my resort for Coffee or soda.

Sorry for jumping in here but I had a quick question. Is it true that you can get two drinks for cs breakfast? I never can find it written but I've heard a few mention it. I want to make sure I get all I can with the DDP, so I'd like to understand this before we go!!

On the DP Brochure it says for CS Breakfast you get entree"
1 non alcholic beverage (water-if you choose) and 1 juice (I was allowed to substitute water for the Juice) I asked if I could subtitute water for the juice whenever I went to check out and CM said "Yes" then I Used my Refillable Mug for Coffee.

This is going back quite a few years...

We had breakfast at AP - at the time they had a character breakfast featuring Pooh and friends - now they don't even serve breakfast.

At the end of the meal the waitress brought out two icy cold bottles of water for us in a paper bag and said "these are to take to the park." We did not ask for these.

We were on the "Food & Fun" plan (also long gone), but I don't remember what the beverage rule was for it...I'm sure we would have had coffee and juice if they were included in the plan.

So I guess what I'm trying to say is that even though bottled water isn't on the menu doesn't mean they don't have some back in the fridge. I would just ask!
