My 12 year old daughter and I will be on our 4th Disney cruise in December. It will be our 4th time visiting Castaway Cay. We have done the bike riding, Castaway Rays stingrays, snorkeling at the family beach, and parasailing. Any other suggestions for what we might do at Castaway Cay during our next cruise? I was looking at booking the Rigid Hull Snorkeling Excursion. Anyone done that or have other suggestions? Thanks

The jet ski excursion is FUN! We enjoyed that. Not sure if the kayak & nature hike has an age restriction but we liked that a lot, too. Also, go where they rent the watercraft and try standup paddle boarding. That's a fun thing to do. Have you tried the water slides at Pelican Point? Doing the slides after a few adult beverages was incredibly fun for me. Also, go to In Da Shade. My guys shot pool & hoops then played some ping pong. It was a nice activity out of the sun.

You can always stay on the ship and enjoy some of the adventures there. I went on a tour of the ship and also a "history of the Dream" presentation. Also went to a Martini tasting. The Aquaduck is also pretty short of a wait.

No excursions there for us - we did the 5k, swam, played basketball, ping pong & putt putt and had lunch.

I second the jet skis! They were great fun. The tour guides took us out and around the island, and over to the sandbars of one of the uninhabited ones. We saw lots of wild rays, and even found a 6 prong star fish that was over a foot across!

Has she tried going to the teen area on CC? My DD loved it... Played volleyball and some other fun stuff. Meanwhile, I relaxed in the sun and enjoyed a cocktail with hubs.

We snorkeled and biked on Castaway Cay, but otherwise just enjoyed the deserted island atmosphere. Disney certainly didn't invent the concept, we had our first Private Island experience on NCL in 1983 with Great Stirrup Cay, but Disney does it well. I am in the group of folks who find enough excitement is just sitting on the beach on Castaway Cay that I'd like to spend a week just there.

Last time we went out to get lunch but spent the rest of the day (morning and afternoon) on the ship. Went on the Aquadunk 8 times in a row, watched a movie in our stateroom, spent time at the pool and Cove Café. It's quite quiet on the ship and very nice. We're totally not beach people and our time in the water tends to be limited as we're also not really water people. So spending time on the ship when few people are there can be really good.

Snorkeling never gets old because you never know what you are going to see! I also love just sitting on the beach reading a good book, people watching and sipping a cold adult beverage. :) :)

Have done the Jet Ski twice, one it was amazing, saw a sand shark, stopped at an island or sandbar of some kind, very cool. The other time it was good but not as good.

Also did the deep sea fishing which was also excellent.

I've never got tired of it. I like to just swim, eat, drink , and relax. There are plenty of cruises that don't go to CC. Our next three cruises will be Hawaii, Alaska and Europe. I'm going to miss CC.

I spent a grand total of about an hour on CC on our last trip. It just doesn't hold much fascination for me, and with most people being ashore it's really nice have the boat all to ourselves.

We've been there twice and we'd move there if we could. The only formal thing that we've done is the 5k, but we use the day to escape to Serenity beach to relax with a drink or two (or three).

What's wrong with just hanging out on the beach and relaxing? Our last cruise we got lucky enough to rent a Cabana and we spent six hours doing nothing, it was everyone favorite day and my whole family thinks I am some kind of wizard because I was able to get the cabana. But even on our first cruise the only thing we did "extra" was go bike riding and we still loved CC.

Were none of those things worth repeating? We've stopped at CC a dozen times. We're not activity oriented, but always enjoy just doing some beach time at CC and getting an adult beverage while enjoying the beautiful surroundings.

I am glad to see the excitement about the jet skis...i just booked that for my daughters birthday!

Bike ride around the island. We do this every time on Castaway Cay and love it.
