Hi
We are staying at All Star Mo and we will be at Epcot watching Illuminations on our first night there. Would it be faster to go back thru the park and take the monorail to the tt&c and then the bus to asmo? Or thru the international gateway? And what would they have there? Busses? Boats? We will probably be towards France when it ends. Thanks!!

Hi Brenda,

No need take the monorail back to the TTC, you can just walk to the front of Epcot and take a bus there directly to ASMO.

If you go out the IG at Epcot you will end up at the Epcot resorts, and there are no direct buses there to other resorts.

Have fun!

What we sometimes do is exit through the International Gateway, go into the Beach Club and exit out the front door. We wait for a bus that goes to DTD, and get a bus from there to the OKW. Sounds worse than it is, but you do need some patience! Leaving Epcot after Illuminations is always pretty much of a drag, IMHO. If you want to catch the monorail, hang back a bit and let the crowds lighten some. I remember many nights in my WDW “olden days” of the 80’s and 90’s standing on the incline leading up to the monorail station to get back to the TTC and finally the Contemporary. I was really happy when we stayed at the Beach Club and could walk “home”! :)

And there are, of course, buses...but again, hang back a bit and take your time...at closing time they pretty much arrive one after another and you should not have a long wait. You will need to exit through the main entrance, though.

Really??? I thought you pretty much had to ride the bus to the ttc to go to any of the parks and then switch to that parks bus, lol. Good, I hope its a lot easier than that! So, when I want to go to Epcot, ASMo will have a bus that brings me to there? Or is it just at the end of the day? Sorry! I'm so confused, :confused3 I've never stayed on property!

Hi, you will have direct and continuous bus service all daay from your resort to the parks and back. Just look for the disney buses in the front of the park. They are well marked, and you probably just have to "follow the crowd" to them.

Have fun,

herc.

There are direct busses from the All Stars to all four parks, the water parks, and Downtown Disney. The only time it starts getting tricky is when you need to go resort to resort (like if you want to eat there or look around) in which case you can transfer at TTC, DTD, or any of the parks.

It's really pretty self-explanatory when you get there - have a great trip!

If you are in a hurry to get back to your room, exit via the IG and get a cab at the BC. For $10-$15, you will be back in your room very quickly.

That said, I'd just take my time walking out through the main entrance and take the bus back.

Best wishes -

We too take a cab from Epcot to the Poly. The monorail does to to TTC but it takes forever to get on the one monorail then walk to the Poly for my mom. We grab a cab right outside Epcot and are back to the Poly in less then 10 minutes. Worth every penny!
