Getting back off ship in Nassau?

We will be taking a port excursion with unvaxxed kids- the excursion is scheduled to begin at 1230 and last one and a half to two hours. Our plans say all guests must be back on board at 5:15. I know during the excursion with the kids we absolutely must leave together and return to the ship together and never leave the group, but would my husband have time/be allowed to leave again after we boarded the ship after the excursion in order to buy beer to take aboard ? If so, is there a place close to the docking point to do this without venturing far into Nassau?

Pretty sure 5:15 was the “all aboard” time on our cruise, so if that is the same for yours, then no. He should have plenty time before your excursion though—I believe they dock around 9:30.

editing as I misread your post as saying the excursion was due back at 5:15. In my experience, DCL excursions run very late (like 1-2 hours after you are supposed to be back) so I still would suggest he go ashore in the morning. But if it truly is just a 2 hour excursion you should be back on time.
