Getting around without a car

On our next trip we will be bringing a baby sitter so we can have a few dinners late nights without the kids. Will probably rent a villa in the Lindfieds area. So how do we get to (and back from) Pleasure Island, Boardwalk, City Walk etc. Do we call a cab, flag one down. any idea on costs?
