Getting around with two ECVs

Our trip is at the end of next month and our party will be myself and my husband, our teenage son and my parents. My mom will need an ECV for the duration of the trip and will be renting offsite. My dad is not sure if he will need one all the time or just in the parks. It's a little bit cheaper to rent one for him also for our entire trip but I am wondering about the feasibility of getting around using Disney transportation with two ECVs in our party. What are our chances of getting them on the same bus/boat etc? Most days we are in the parks we have early ADRs and will be up early to the bus stop and coming back to the resort before closing.

Each bus should be able to take at least 2 mobility devices that would need to be strapped down on the bus. If you pull up to the bus stop and there is already 1 mobility device waiting, then you might need to wait for the next bus to be able to get them on the same bus. This should be the same for boats that can handle EVCs.

As I wrote that I was thinking that this is based on if your stop is the first one to pick up. If the bus/boat picks up some where else first, you might have to wait if there are other mobility devices already on the bus or if the area of the tie downs is not available.

That happened to us in December at Saratoga Springs - we were the last stop on the route and waited one day for 3 buses before we went to a different bus stop. It was a longer walk but being first in line solved the problem. We always used that stop then. Saratoga is a beautiful resort but they have lousy bus service coming and going.

So find out if your hotel has multiple bus stops, look up which is first, and request a room near that stop.

Aside from the bus stop question adddressed above, I was in a party where two of us were using ECV's, and we had no problems at all. (We were staying at Port Orleans French Quarter, which only has one bus stop and buses were never an issue). Both scooters fit in a standard room just by pushing the table down, but I've read that some people have Mousekeeping remove the table to give them more space. We brought a power strip from home to make it more convenient to plug them both in at night and still have outlets free for other things like phone and battery chargers.

Thank you! We still have a little bit of time to decide. Thanks for all of your thoughts.
