Getting around from the Sheraton Vistana

I will be staying at the Vistana Dec 27 - Jan 1. It seems like the Vistana has limited Shuttles to the parks - what if you want to go to EPCOT at 2pm or if you want to go to MGM at 5pm? What's the best bet? Taxi's? How much do you think they cost to get to the parks? We will have 10 of us - but I think we are just going to try and meet once a day somewhere so we won't always be traveling as such a large group. We really do not want to rent a car/van. We would be able to use public transportation if it was available. What are your options to get back to the Vistana if the shuttle service is done for the evening - are cabs at the park gates?

Any thoughts or experiences with this?

be very careful with cabs - some are a big rip off....

they will charge you $50 instead of $10.

If they don't have a meter get out!!!

I really think you would be better off with a rental car or van.

get a rental car and the drivers can make multiple trips - if money is a problem.

a rental car will cost your in the long run less than using cabs.
