Getting AP discount applied to a tour

I reserved and paid for a 1-27 KTTK tour before I had an AP. I have since purchased the AP and it will be activated next week. How do I get the AP discount applied and receive credit back? Can I do this at guest services a day prior to the tour when I activate the AP?

1. There is no guarantee that this will always happen, but you can certainly try.
2. Yes. (It couldn't hurt to "ask nicely.")

I was in the same situation, and when I called the tour phone number again the CM said I could absolutely apply the discount and transferred me to guest relations who issued a refund to my credit card in the amount of the discount. They have to be able to see the APs in your MDE, and the tour participants have to match the names of the AP holders. But, your AP doesn't have to be activated, it just has to show up in your account. And our tour isn't until May, so you don't have to wait.

Thanks for the reassurance. That's what they told me when I purchased the tour...that I'd be able to get credit back but I wasn't sure where to go to do this. And I know how CMs can have different answers. Let's hope it works for me. Sounds like I don't need to wait until I arrive to do this though so I may just call now and see if they can take care of it over the phone.
