Getting a wedding license in Florida?

I'm considering having an intimate wedding at Swan/Dolphin but am trying to figure out what I'd do about the whole wedding license thing. Granted, I'm only about 5-6 hours away from the Fla border, but it's going to be difficult to find a time to go do that during the week!

What do you guys do? Do you get your license when you get down there for the wedding?

It is extremely easy. We got ours the week before our wedding because we were down there for two weeks with our wedding weekend in the middle of our trip. The town hall is about a half hour away from WDW. The whole process took us about 15 minutes and that included waiting for the couple ahead of us. If you call Disney weddings and honeymoons they can tell you exactly where to go and what documents you will need. I don't remember anymore what it took.

We just had to take passports and birth certificates to get the license!!

We live in NJ so we are getting ours through aweddingforyou.com before we get there.

LAH-- I didn't know you could get them without being there in person? I'll have to check out that website...

You sure can. It's alittle more expensive, (I think $190.00) but to me it's worth it. Instead of heading to the court house when we get there, we are heading to MK!!!!!!!!!

I'm going to order ours next week.

We had our wedding at the Swan and we used A wedding for you for our marriage licence...once it was processed they just sent it straight to Rev.Tim Herring for us..we didn't need to worry about it at all.
