We will be going back to DW in Dec 06 and our DD will be 2 1/2. I am considering using one of the babysitting services, so my DH and I can go out for a nice diner and PI one night. My question is we have never left her with a sitter before that was not family and we do not plan on it... has anyone ever arranged for a sitter to come to the hotel and then changed their mind?

I know that I am probably being way parinoid but I do not want my DD to freak out when we leave or I am worried that the sitter would be mean to her. Does anyone have any good or bad expeirences. I would really love a few hours for just me and DH but I am not sure about having a stranger watch my DD.

Any help please :worried:

There is usually a 24 or 48 hour cancellation policy. Each agency will be different. FWIW we have used Fairy Godmothers (? about the name) and were very happy. If your dc is a good sleeper you can have the sitter come just before bedtime and you and DH can leave just after they fall asleep.

Also remember you won't be far and you will be accessible via cell-phone.
