getting a rental car without ressie in June?

Whats the chances of renting a car without a ressie on June 14? Im not sure if we will need so I dont want to reserve one right now. TIA

I would make the reservation and then cancel it if not needed. There is no deposit involved. If you just show up without a reservation, you will likely be charged a high rate.
