Getting a pug puppy!! NEED NAMES please!

I had heard Pugs arehard to house break, butour Dodie is doing very well, she has an accident now and then, mainly our fault, so we must be one of the lucky ones!

I second that, FRANK! I saw a pug puppy once at a parking lot. I ran up to the owner and asked if it was named FRANK and he said no TIA. I think he was a little put out that his girl was mistaken for a boy. As small as they are and a puppy at that, it was pretty hard to tell exactly what sex it was.

My vote is FRANk but I did have a dog once named Zipper so that would be my second choice.

OMG people... we went to the pug breeder today to see the little guys... 5 days old, no eyes open yet. Ridiculous cuteness.... We actually came up with a name on the way home, and if the personality fits, it may be SCRUMP, like Lilo's homemade doll.

When we were going through the choose a name for our Pooch we started with A & went through the alphabet & thought up names for every letter........

You pick and chose and finally decide, then you see the little bundle of fluff and out goes the name you picked. I've found it to be true that puppy's name themselves. Once you have them around-- a name will pop in to your head and that name will be the perfect one. E-mail me if I'm right. I've had names all picked out--ready to send to the AKC ---when the personality of the puupy comes forth and all is changed.---

Congraulations on the new puppy. Daughter talked me into an Alaskan Malamute---What was I thinking? It's like having a new baby in the house Yikes I thought I was over that.

We have two pugs. Their names are Puggles and Prancer. We have a pug flag that we hang in front of our house that has three pugs on it. The kids kept pressing me on what the third pug's name is, so I named him Peanut. That's when the questions started about "where is Peanut?" Being quick on my feet, I told them that Peanut lives with a wonderful family in MA.

I love the name Scrump for a pug! That's what they are... just a Scrump of love.

Our neighbor liked our Dodie dog so much he went out and got the male (we hope to breed them) He named his Bruno, and somehow, it fits him to a tee!

I used to work with a guy who had FIVE pugs, and his oldest, and favorite was named "Sarge". It fit him!

I just went back and re-read this thread... Scrump is 9 months old now, and I can't think of a name that would have fit him better. And I love him to bits and pieces!!

Someday, we'll rescue him a companion from New England Pug Rescue. ( I need a bigger house & yard first! they have a lot of energy!!)
