This probably isn't the right place for this, but this is the board that I frequent and I know I read about this a couple of months ago.

Is there a place where you can view jobs that are available at Disney World or for Disney in general.

I have a friend who has been out of work for over a year, just working odd jobs to keep his family a float. He is desperate now and willing to relocate if he has to. He is a disney freak, and thought this might be a way for him to go.

Thanks.:thanks:

If he is really desperate for work and isn't afraid of hard work and wants to make money, he needs to contact the Job Service in Wyoming. The natural gas and coal industries have been BOOMING. There is less than 2% unemployment in the entire state of Wyoming. Other towns are Rock Springs and Casper.

To be honest, it's very hard to get a decent paying job at Disney. The housing prices are very high. I have many friends that relocated there and while they love the weather and entertainment, they say it's very difficult to live on.

As of a couple months ago I know they were on a hiring freeze.. not sure if this is still in effect. Best of luck to him either way!

Honestly, I wouldn't send him this way right now. This was on the local (Orlando) news today (cfnews13):

The unemployment rate in the Central Florida area is at 7.7 percent, according to experts, leaving 86,000 people in the greater Orlando area looking for work.

Ugh....:crazy2:

That means more deals from Disney for us tourist.... (hopefully)

With the exception of a few positions, Disney is not hiring at this time.
