getting a good deal

We want to join but want a good deal. The deal on the table is SSR $101 per point and 06 develper points to be used in 07. Is this a good deal?

Can anyone use some pixie dust and help us out? I don't know what the ask for?

What happens if we miss our 3 day window? Is there a better offer waiting or would we have made a big mistack by not acting in 3 days?

Is it better to buy big now or wait for member only offers for more points?

I have learned a lot today by reading the borads

I think that you could save $15. off that price at SSR if you have a referral from another DVC owner. I'm sure that someone here could be your referral if you don't know anyone who is a member. Usually someone will make an offer after seeing your thread.

Just so you know to help your analysis, the deal I got through the member referrral was $86 per point for SSR, can book right away with points (The point officially take effect 12/1/06, a December UY). I still had to pay the closing costs, which were about $200.

From the wording of your post, it appears that you are not getting extra points, or am I wrong? If it is the same deal that I got, you can get the referral discount, and save $15 a point. If you are getting extra points in addition, then you need to weigh if those extra points are worth the extra $15 a point.

I thought I had this all figured out. Silly ME!

I think the offer was $101 per point and 06 points to be used now or banked than new points in Dec 06

so like double points would be availabe in Dec 06.

Does this sound right? I would love to get referral $15 off too.

Call your guide. It may be an either get the extra double points at the $101 per point rate or get your regular allotment of points at the $86 per point rate with the member referral. Can't hurt to ask for both.

Yes that was on of the offers


1 06 use year double points 101/pt so bank 150 right away have 300 next year

2 10 off per point for 91 point

3 f&f discount referral program 15 off to make it 86 point

Those were my 3 offers when i went i chose the 15 off per point as the discount was too high to pass up
