Getting a full hook up spot next to a cabin?

How hard is it getting a full hook up spot that is next to or near a cabin? My parents may want to join us the next time we bring our son down. They aren't the camper type so would like if we could get them a cabin and have our RV near that cabin so their grandson isn't far.

i do not remember any loops that have both RV and Cabins in same loop. there are a couple that back up each other but still can be a walk or cart ride depending on where each is located on loop. is doable but do not plan on being next to each other.

ArielRae,

I can't tell by mention of "full hookup" if you mean:

1. A Full site (versus a Preferred or Premium) which is loops 1600-1900 or

2. Any type of site (Full, Preferred, or Premium) that has sewer, water, power, and cable.

I'm guessing it's #2 since you asked about the proximity to cabins.

Loop 1100 which is a Premium backs up against cabin loop 2100 and this is the recommended combination for sites/cabins. Another nice thing is 1100 has its own Comfort Station which doesn't get as much use since it serves only the one campsite loop so it's good for overflow from the cabin if there are a number of people in that party.

It's not hard to get back and forth between the two loops either. There is a paved walkway off the end of the cabin loop nearest the 1100 Comfort Station that goes to the CS itself. Then there is a paved path from the CS a very short distance over to the 1100 loop. So you won't have to go all the way out of one loop and around into the other. I've never stayed in 1100 but I would like to some time.

So on each reservation put in the appropriate loop request (or try to get them linked) and you'll be set. And maybe both request to be "Near a Comfort Station".

Have fun. :cool1:

ArielRay, there are 2 cabins in the 100 loop that sit side by side and have RVs on both sides. They are near the walkway that goes back to the restaurant the store and the beach. These are the only cabins in the campground that you could park beside, like others said there are loops near the cabins but not like the 100 loop.

This is true. There are two cabins in loop 100 alongside the sites in that loop.

However....

Those two cabins are VIP cabins and when not in use by the VIPs, they are NOT available for a request. They can only be randomly assigned to people. So the chances of actually getting one of them is very low. But having said that, we've got DISsers who have stayed in them.

we did the loop 1100 and a cabinwhich was on the beginning of cabin loop not near the path. yes the ressie ws tied together. it was also most faster to take the golf cart around than to walk the path and around both loops to the path.. i had ECV and golf cart beat me most times when i used the path.
