Getting a certified copy of Marriage License

Hey guys! I desperately need some help!!! I misplaced our original marriage license . I've looked in every possible file folder that it could be in and it's not there. I have no idea where it went and neither does my husband. We have photocopies but I want an original. How can I go about in getting an original or certified copy? Phone number, e-mail, fax, whatever. I really appreciate the help guys!! Thanks!!

You must go to the issuing authority (for me in Georgia, it's the county vital records office where we originally signed and filed the license.) Some states have records networked so you could get a copy at any office in your state.

It all depends on where you live. But, start with them.

Usually, you'll have to pay a token document retrieval fee, maybe ten bucks or so.

thanks but i live in nevada. can i call them up and request a few copies of the marriage license?

Where did you get your original marriage license? Was it from Orange County, Osceola County or Brevard County?
