Getting a car at Sci-Fi

I read you have to request a car table if you want. Anyone know if you can do this at the time of making your ADR or just when you check in for your reservation?

I think it has alot to do with when you go.
Our first time at Sci-Fi, we went in early Nov and the crowds were great.

He decided that day to go there and walked right in. We got a car to eat in, but the way the table was set up, we were facing ea other. Which was fine, cause our boys are young. The other cars have 2 tables, all facing forward, like you would in a real car.
We love the Sci-Fi and it's a regular stop for us now

When we were there in January, they asked us at the restaurant check-in if we wanted a car (which would be a bit of a wait) or if we wanted one of their other tables. We told the CM we wanted the car, then took a seat until there was space for our party size (about a 15 minute wait). Our son is older (13) so we had no problem just hanging around a few minutes in order to get the experience of eating in the car.
