geting braces in janurary

^^ hehe as we speak I am eating popcorn! I havent tried chewing gum with my braces yet Lol

chewing gum doesn't do anything to them. they say not to chew gum with sugar in it, but barely any gum made has sugar in it now-a-days. and I just ate a bag of popcorn today. lol

After the first few days, you get used to having braces in your mouth. It is a completely different feeling in your mouth. When you go in to have them adjusted, it may hurt a little bit, but not much.
The worst part about braces is getting them off. It is just disgusting. It takes forever and they use all these foul tools and devices.
Then, they take another mould.
You are then given...

a retainer!!!!!!!!!
That is the worst part of the ENTIRE process. You lisp for a week! I got lucky and only had to wear them while I was sleeping. The retainer was disgusting, and the only was that you can clean it is to use polident. (the stuff that people clean dentures with)

That is the worst part of the ENTIRE process. You lisp for a week! I got lucky and only had to wear them while I was sleeping. The retainer was disgusting, and the only was that you can clean it is to use polident. (the stuff that people clean dentures with)

Thanks that makes me happy about getting them off... I was given a new type that is suppose to come off easily. That also means that I can pop them off easily which I do often.

The worse part is the mould. It mad me gag. My advice is to STUFF your face with food right after you get your braces. It won't hurt for about 6 hours so eat as much you can in that time period. The next day you will want to nock your teeth. This last for about a week and you will not be able to eat anything solid during this time. Rice is a good food to eat.
Good luck don't let anyone freak you out. I think the results will be worth it.

I have them now. All they do is dab this glue on your teeth, and press these brackets on. Then once they've glued and let the brackets dry, they attach a wire. Some people have to get other things put in but I promise none is even remotley painful. Spacers was what hurt. Just really sore. That's all. It's no big deal. I like them. Make me look older!

It took themabout 20-30 min. to get mine on. they feel really wierd at first and you have to get used to eating. Even though it may feel wierd to eat....eat a big meal right after ypu get them on because they will hurt so bad for like a week and you will only be ablr to eat really really really soft foods. After that first week you should be fine.

Hard Fruits and Vegtables



I guess I'm left with..potatoed...pasta..and bread. yum

I have to say..I don't follow these whatsoever. I've eaten everything on this list and it's been fine.. Does anyone ever follow the rules?

I gagged during my moulding, my LIPS started bleeding, I lisped horribly with my retainer, and worst of all, my retainer has been cracked since July.​
