We will be at MGM next Wednesday. Visiting WDW is a very rare occurance for us so of course we want to maximize our limited hours there.

We are hoping that the Presidnet's day rush will be over and that crowds won't be too bad.

We want to see Fantasmic which has one 7:00 show. We don''t want to do a dinner package. At what time do we need to get in line? There are two of us and we don't feel a need to be in front. I certainly would hate to spend more than an hour waiting for this show.

I guess I would have similar questions for Beauty and the Beast and Indiana Jones.

Thanks for all your help on this and the other questions I have asked. One more week and away from the snow!

Indiana Jones should not be a problem as it's pretty large. For Fantasia I'm not sure we have only gone a couple of times and always with the dinner package. There are only 2 of you so if it were me I would show up 1/2 hour before the show. I went last year by myself the girls weren't interested and it seemed pretty easy to fit one or two in and there were still people filing in almost up to the start. Beauty and the Beast is a much smaller area and I would ask one of the cm's what time to show up. Hope you have a great time.

I went at the beginning of Feb. and wait times for attractions were few and far between. Fantasmic did fill up but I'm thinking that it was much closer to 7:00 before it actually filled to capacity. If crowds would be down for you too...then I would think that 1/2 hour would be OK (as long as you don't care if you are on one of the end groups of seats...which you shouldn't worry about...they will still be great seats).

Beauty and the Beast didn't fill up for the 1:00 show. I'm not sure about Indiana Jones.

Hope this helps.

The last time we were there we were right at the gate when it opened-got in line 1 1/2 hours before the show. The cast members made us start filling the seats from the right so we ended up with some of the worst seats even though we were there early. We would have been better off being in the middle of the crowd. I wonder if they are still doing this.???

I have been 2 times. Once with the dinner package on once this past Monday on our own. The seats for the package are not the best seats. They were front and to the right facing the stage area. This past Monday we went to the 2nd show (8:30p) and got there at 8:15p and had to wait a little in a very large line, but got dead center front row seats. Perfect for picture talking! I would not do the dinner package again. Plus now you have to order certain entrees. I heard it is going away anyway. I would just wing it. Unless it is spring break you can generally get good seats without waiting 90+ minutes. The staduim hold 3000+ seat I think, maybe more.

During our visit the last week of January, the last two sections were empty when the show began. Not prime seating, of course. But it made our 45 minute wait seem a little excessive.

Unless you sense that the parks are particularly full when you are there (we have no more than 10-15 minute standby waits at all rides our entire trip), then you should be able to get decent seats arriving 20-30 minutes beforehand. Don't wait until the last minute as it does take quite a while just to walk into the arena and get seated.

As Tigger's Mom said, they begin filling the arena with the section next to the reserved/dinner package seating. In other words, they start on the far right, move toward the better seats in the middle, and finish on the far left.

Incidentally, the arena is said to seat a whopping 7,900 guests per show!
