Get Away Today DL ticket question

If I buy my DL park tickets from Get Away Today will they send me real Disney tickets or will I get some sort of confirmation that needs to be exchanged at the park?
 
you can always call and ask them, I know I bought mine thru them...and I believe it's just a confirmation you turn into your hotel (well, I stayed at a disney hotel at the time)...or now maybe it's something they scan at the gate just like if you print your ticket online direct from disney website.

I would just call them! sorry I don't have a better answer for you!

Getawaytoday does not send you anything for your ticket into DLR. (except maybe an email confirmation/receipt) It is an E-ticket, like for the airlines. You go to the ticket booth with your ID (make sure it matches the name on the ressie) and get your tickets there. You then take your tickets to the turnstyles and enter DLR! You can also pick up your tickets before you actually want to go into the park - like if you get there the night before and want to have your tickets for the next day - they aren't activated until you go through the turnstyles.

Another thing about GAT tickets... be sure they have the correct dates for your travel. I had this problem and I read about a few others having the same problem-- they had down the week that I called for the tickets, rather than the dates several months later that we went. So when I went to pick the tickets up, they didn't show up on Disneyland's computers. Yikes! I had a bad few moments there until the CM called GAT for me.

Another good thing to know: you can pick up your tickets at any ticket booth in the Esplanade, but you can also pick them up from Guest services outside the gates of either Disneyland or California Adventure. Sometimes the lines at Guest services are much shorter than at the ticket booths. This was the case for us-- every open booth, midafternoon, had humoungous lines, but there was only one person ahead of me at Guest services.
 
When I was there in Dec. they wouldn't let us pick up our tickets at Guest Services at DCA. I was bummed because the ticket booth lines were LOOONNNGGGG! Either the CM didn't know what she was talking about - or they changed their policy. :confused3
 
We ordered our TIX from GAT for our May trip about 1 month ago. They arrived very quickly - but they are a paper e-receipt. Makes me a little nervous, but folks on the boards seem to have a good experience with them (This is our first trip to DL). My thoughts are to walk over from HoJos our first afternoon while the DH and DSs are swimming and get the tix for the next day/morning.
I'll be sure to report how it goes.
 
ProfJenn - do the walk over the afternoon before. We usually arrive in the evening and at least one of our party goes over and gets our tickets the night before. Make sure who ever ordered the tix goes over and also make sure you take your ID. We have used GAT for all of our trips and have had no problems. Have a magical time!!!!
 
ohh, good reminder. I guess I'll take the walk over (the tix are in my name). That's ok; DH would inevitably find himself 'lost' downtown Disney...wandering through every eatery and shop.;)
