Get Anniversary And Honeymoon Pins, Wear Them!

If you go to City Hall on Main Street and ask, they will give you free buttons (not pins) for your honeymoon or anniversary, same idea as the birthday buttons. Just another option! And I agree, don't expect anything to happen. Sometimes you get lucky and comps, sometimes you don't.

Oooh, I didn't know they had Anniversary buttons!!!
We are celebrating the Seven Year Itch and dh keeps talking about all his Disney crushes (Mrs. Incredible, Belle, Ariel...etc.)--The button would make him remember he is mine :rotfl: --I am making some Anniversary T-Shirts but a button would be a great addition!

I agree too! It's special enough for me just going back to DisneyWorld (we got engaged there in 2003).....

We've planned special dinners, etc.....We won't go expecting anything but if something happens our honeymoon it will just be that much more memoriable.

OH WOW! We leave Sunday for our first WDW trip! It is our 5th anniversary of being married and 9 of being together. Can you tell me how much the pins are for anniversary and what they look like? I would love to buy them as soon as we get there. Can we buy them in POR? That is where we are staying. I would love to ge wear the pins and buttons. That just sounds like so much fun! Thanks for any info!

We even wore them on the flight to Orlando and we got a bottle of champage from the flight crew...really sweet.....we had lots of pixie dust on our honeymoon and we are so grateful for it....

Wow, I'll really have to convince FH to wear them on our plane... maybe once we get to Detroit... cause I don't see myself wearing them from Ottawa to Orlando!! Hahaha Champagne at 6am would be too much!

Are the anniversary ones the same as the wedding ones? All I can find is the bride and groom ones. Dh and I will be celebrating our 10 year anniversary at Disney World next month.

What do the free ones you get on Main Street look like? I didn't mention to anyone when making my reservations that it was our anniversary. After reading these boards for awhile I've been wanting to call and tell them to put it in our hotel and dining reservations, especially dinner at CRT, but I feel awkward calling back now and mentioning it.

Has anyone ever called after their ressies to tell them to add it? Did the CM mind? Jennifer

I had the same question. 2006 is our 10th, my SIL and her dh's 10th, and my MIL/FIL's 40th. We are all going together, but since my SIL is due to have a baby in February, we moved our trip up to this Thanksgiving. So while the real purpose of the trip is three anniversary celebrations, it's not actually going to be *on* anyone's anniversary.

Oh, plus we'll be celebrating dd's 2nd birthday while we're there, since the whole family will be together, but her real birthday won't be for a couple more weeks.

Opinions?

I'm bumping this to see if anyone knows what the anniversary pins look like? I have been searching, but all I'm finding is the Mickey and Minnie bride and groom ones. Are there different anniversary ones I should be looking for? I'd like to get some for my 10th anniversary trip in a few weeks. Thanks!! Jennifer

It was our 5 year anniversary this past June, and we never took a honeymoon so this is a honeymoon/5 year anniversary combined. I will definately be looking into getting these pins. Thanks :cheer2: :Pinkbounc
27 days to go.. woot!

I searched on ebay for 'disney happy anniversary' (if you don't do 'happy' you get all of the 50th celebration stuff too) and the pin I found is Mickey and Minnie and it says Happy Anniversary on it.
Hope this helps!

I would also do a search on EBay for them. DH and I are going in March but our anniversary is in January. IT's our 2nd honeymoon and we are wearing the ears and pins. I don't think it's fraudulent or anything like that.

This is just my opinion, but if you officially taking a child to WDW for their B-day or someone is going on this trip as an Anniversary trip and it doesn't fall on the actual dates, it's still ok to claim it as such.

We are going in the beginnning of OCT and I'm paying for my parents to come with us b/c I offered them several pricey anniversary gifts and they chose this one...so this is their anniversary trip even though their Anniversary is actually in dec. BUT we are visiting them in Oct and live across teh country from them and won't be around in December, so we are celebrating early, for the sake of not missing it. So I went on Ebay a month or so ago, searched out Disney Happy Anniversary pins and bought 2 (3.99 and 5.99) and they will wear them and we will do all the hoopla of an anniversary trip as if it falls on the dates, b/c THIS IS our celebration. I didn't even question myself as to whether it was honest b/c I feel it's genuinly ok.

NOW...I wouldn't dare plan a trip to Disney then try to gain extra perks by claiming a special even w/in the group if it weren't true...that goes unsaid. What a way to dull the magic!

This is one of the Anniversary ones I got on Ebay:

DH and Me will be married 13 years in Oct. two days after we leave Disney World.
Could we still get the pins from the hall? I would just like to have them as a memory. We had hoped to spend our Ann. in Disney buy DH job kept us from staying longer.

Thanks for your help! I was just searching Disney Anniversary and I was getting all of the 50th Anniversary stuff. I'll put happy in there too! I didn't even think of that. :flower: Jennifer

I like the B-day and Anniversary pins. Next May, we're going to DW.. This is in celebration of my hubby's (hopefully) safe return from his deployment to Afghanistan. I'm wondering if there is a pin (it doesn't have necessarily Disney) he could wear. I think all returning troops/families should get something(if nothing else than a simple "Thank you") for their service...
