Geriatric mm warriors (12/30/09)

Hey Kate - did you get the e-mail I sent to your gmail address? Just wondered!

Robin - I am not always good about checking my gmail account. Unless I see it on my Blackberry, they often get missed. Long story. I should really use my work email address for you ladies - krockas@mlplaw.com.

I will look for it now!

Well, I would love to be able to say Good Morning...but I think Snow Morning would be more appropriate!! LOL, I have awoken to 4 inches and snowing extremely hard...no need to call the hotline, but did anyway just to see what they had to say! haha, told everyone to stay home and be safe...I guess insurance companies are not interested in paying out claims for people trying to get to work. My neighbor actually headed in to her Tractor Supply job, in the 4wd drive truck of course...they are planning to close early so she will be headed back home by 2...she wasnt 1/2 mile from our shared driveway when she came upon a car flipped over on its side resting against the trees on the side of the road...all she could see was the underside...no footprints...she called and I told her to keep going, not to risk stopping in such a bad spot and called 911...praying nobody is hurt or trapped in there...these southerners just do not have any sense of how to drive in this weather...for Petes Sake SLOW DOWN PEOPLE!!

Hope none of you are getting what we have, Kathy I dont even see where you are in danger of this thing, but be careful out there in whatever snow you do get! Pony has fed the ponies and settled in now for whatever is going to happen....trying to keep shoveling every couple hours to at least keep the deck and a small walkway to the big truck clear in case of any emergency reason to leave. My neighbor Tim has to get in to town to his plowing job with the state, so they told him they are setting up hotel rooms so the workers can work the next 3-4 days without having to drive home...good idea, I thought! but of course as the only man here other than my 14 yr old Godson, he is all concerned that us "womenfolk" cant handle things! I laughed and told him to get his *** to work and stop being a MCP!!!

Y'all will probably be quite sick of me the next few days...snowbound with a computer and nothing to do! LOL, PRAY we dont lose power...that would be the worst....especially for ponies and water...we need power to run the well pumps!!

After everyone left this morning I and DH went shopping. I've decided that tomorrow begins Step I for me once again. I did so well the first go round. It just keeps going through my head that if I can just be that successful one more time I'll be right at my goal weight and even if I have to live on Step II, I'll be thrilled. I've set up my formal living room for my workouts, I'm stoked and stocked with good foods and ready to give it another go...wish me luck.

Good luck on your return to Step 1. I keep thinking I should do it, but haven't yet.

Bed early for me tonight. I'm going to the laundramat early tomorrow. I'm going to put the wash into the washer and go over to the gym which is in the same strip-mall and walk on the treadmill and then while everything's in the dryer go on the bike.

I'm meeting a friend tomorrow at Applebees for lunch. I get the italian chicken & portabella sandwich and get a side salad instead of the fruit it comes with. I don't eat the roll. So it's a good lunch for me. It's part of their weight watchers offerings, but I don't think they don't advertise it like that anymore.

Great idea about the laundramat. Sometimes I get so far behind on our laundry I threaten to go to the mat and get it done all at once, but I never do. I think this weekend will be busy with laundry for sure.

My sister is at the Grammys because she is being wined and dined by a company that wants her to do training for them. She and BIL are big in the marketing world. They own an online company that trains and supports network marketers all over the globe. She's a goofy little peanut and a super star at the same time!

My husband is a supervisor for the electric company so when he is on call, he's in charge of getting power back up in the case of emergencies, etc. It can be because of weather or because someone ran into a pole, which is awful. He's been there 35 years and is very dedicated. He's not on call all the time, it just sounds like it when I mouth off about being lonely, lol! I am really very grateful for how hard he has always worked so I could be a Mom for many years and how well he has taken care of us. He calls me if he's going to be 10 minutes late and Bonnie knows how to tell time. She'll give him 20 minutes of leeway and then the chin goes down to the ground.:rotfl:

Very cool for your sister. Tom is a very important man! Luckily for us, we had a neighbor who was very high up in the local electric co. It was sure nice that our power was always returned very quickly. Now he has moved to a different company. Scares me!

Hey Pony! I told the landlord before Christmas we were moving and all he did then was confuse me. He started talking about how we were giving up our dream of homeownership and all kinds of things until my head was spinning. :confused3: Honestly, our rent is significantly above the market and This new place will be some much better for us! I'm sending a return receipt email the day we leave so that we don't have him over here. You see, the money he's holding for last and security will pay us through the end of the lease. We're actually moving out two months early just to be in a better situation and have a new start. This past year has been very difficult. Plus the place we found is in such a nice area and the right place, so all signs are saying go.

Nell, I agree with the others, make sure to do a walk thru with him so he doesn't come up with some "cleaning" or "repair" charges that you don't agree with.

Kate: I have to side on the poop side rather than throw up. Something about it lays me out on the floor. The first time J-P got sick, I bravely told Tom to sleep so he could get up for work. He then found me with my head pressed to the cold toilet trying to revive myself. I can do broken arms better than throw up. That child of mine would still to this day call for his Dad in the night, LOL! And you know what happened when he got drunk and barfed! He's since sworn off alcohol.:rotfl::sick:

I am the same way - when I hear someone getting sick, just move over! Luckily my kids don't throw up often. Maybe once in their lives (since they were babies).

Mike and I are going to be checking out a gym. It is in my hometown, about 15 minutes away. It is $30/month for 1 person and $40/month for 2 people. From what mom told me it is pretty nice. So we will be checking it out. Mom seems to think it is open 24 hours, but I personally find that hard to believe just in the town it's in. I am thinking it may be open late.
Kathy - I'm glad you like the new gym.
I’m so glad you guys are getting saddlebags for the dogs. I hate it when people tie the poop bag around the dog’s neck! Yuck! Bonnie won’t go poop unless she is at home so we don’t have to carry bags on our walks – nice of her, huh? She wants her Dad to have to pick it up, lol! :rotfl:

Oh, this is funny. I woke up earlier than I wanted to and found a baby lizard sitting in our master bathroom. I'm not afraid of lizards, but I didn't want to pick him up and I didn't want him to die! I didn't know what to do! I used another bathroom, went back to sleep and when I woke up, he was sitting on the threshold to our balcony door in our bedroom with his nose pointed to the door. Smart! I shooshed him out with a towel. Whew! They are cute and good for my yard, but only outside!
Poop bags around their necks? YUCK! Glad you were able to save your lizard friend. I am not sure I would have been able to go back to sleep knowing he was in my bedroom.:rotfl:
J-P is safe and in an awesome room at Teton Village until he meets up with Travis tomorrow afternoon. He even has a boot dryer in his room and free snowboarding tickets waiting for him at the desk. I think he's in for a dream week! He said the mountains are breathtakingly beautiful.
Glad to know he's safe and having a good time.
Hey Y'all - long weird day going on here! Woke up to find that all the snow that melted with the warmer weather yesterday had re-frozen overnight into a sheet of glare ice...could not move the cars even a single inch, tires just spun on the ice...luckily the big truck was in a snow bank so had snow for traction to get it out onto the driveway! Slipped and slid the 10 miles to the main roads which were perfectly clear and dry, and made it to work, only to find they had opened late and only about a dozen agents even bothered to TRY to get there! Got to have a nice hour long chat online with Ken this morning, they are several days behind due to some bad weather in the China Sea that kep them from getting to the rig...he was getting stir crazy hanging out onshore...he wants to get back home so badly! I think he is still afraid if he is gone too long I will take up with someone else! LOL, like who? All I can do is reassure him I am still here and waiting for him to return!

LOL, the grocery store looked like a bomb went through it...like WalMart last week...produce aisle next to empty except for brussel sprouts YUK YUK YUK, some teeny cabbages and a lonely head of cauliflower, which came home with me...NO MILK of any kind...NONE...managed to score a forgotten loaf of rye bread on a top shelf back in the corner for Mom...looks like it will be frozen veggies, eggs, and meat from the freezer for us this week!
Hold on tight with this weather. Makes me question Global Warming. Sounds like you are getting Global Snowing. We are under a winter weather advisory. It is raining now, supposed to change to sleet and then snow. I think only about 1-3" though.
Not much going on this morning. Woke up at 3:30 with a horrible sinus headache. Finally getting it under control. I just stayed in bed and dozed off and on for 2 1/2 hours.

We went to check out that gym in my hometown last night. Looks as though we will be joining. Nothing fancy, but everything we need to work out. There are elipticals, treadmills, free weights, nautical weights, a place to do exercise balls too. It is only 40.00 per couple and a family costs I believe 65.00. That is a good deal if you have more than 1 child. 1 person costs 28.00. They have showers there too. I think if it is profitable for the owner, then he may expand and add more. So we will be going up today to sign up and get our swipe cards. They are open from 4am-midnight. So if we are bored some night, we can just hop in the car and work out. I will be able to visit mom more too.
Kathy - sorry your sinuses are giving you so much trouble. I agree about the Afrin though, it can clear you up very quickly.
Kate - I believe I might eat pony food before attempting the brussel sprouts...YUK! My neighbor says they are just little cabbages, but Im not falling for it...they taste NASTY and I LIKE cabbage! If we get another foot of snow this weekend, I might have to resort to hunting and trapping! :scared1: Wonder if I could trap a really nice filet mignon or possibly a pizza? Wonder what kind of bait I will need?
I think a lovely bearnaise sauce would be perfect bait for the filet. Maybe a cold beer for the pizza?
Just popping in for a quick hello! AKA quickie LOL!! :rotfl: I hope you are all doing well!!! I miss you guys and I'm sorry I haven't had much time to be o the disboards. I can do facebook from my iphone, this website is a bit challenging at times from my iphone. Now that my assitant is gone I am very busy during the day at work and lunch time goes really fast.
Good to see you Laura. Have you done your zumbathon yet? We had one here a couple of weeks ago to benefit our local Boys and Girls club. I didn't make it, but those that did said it was a lot of fun.
Im thinking about trying out some yoga...as long as there is nobody here to watch I should be ok! LOL, some rather interesting positions if I do say so myself! Not sure I could do a public class, might get tossed out for giggling too much!
I think the names are as funny as the poses.
Lisa – here is the recipe. It is a recipe from Presto that I have had for years.
Jocelyn - be sure to post those on the recipe thread. They sound yummy.
I watched Zorro at the gym today and yesterday I watched Bruce Almighty.

My brother is a part-time actor. He's had small parts on a couple of shows like Law & Order. He had a small part in Spiderman 3. Tomorrow night he's on Mercy on ch. 4 at 8pm. He plays a cop in the woods and his lines start with "We found the abandoned ranger station..." It's fun to see him on TV! :happytv:
Your gym sounds great. I am not sure I could do it for 1.5 to 2 hours though. I found a total lack of modesty after having my babies. I would be the one walking around in my undies.

Too cool about your brother.
Kate: I’m not afraid I would giggle in yoga. I’m afraid that being menopausal and on fiber might cause an embarrassing moment in a crowd. I would die!
I always had more trouble with the laughing, sneezing, coughing and my bladder than the menopausal/fiber issue.
A close friend of mine back home has a celebrity son, sort of! He is the executive producer for CSI...I noticed the other day that Peter has pictures posted on his FB page of him on the set there at Christmas! He always calls us to be sure we are watching for him during the awards shows!
I bet you watch a lot of CSI, huh?
I have to complain a little too. I took grilled chicken and asparagus to work yesterday. It was in a tupperware container and would have been my lunch for two days if one of the guys in the building hadn't spilled it reaching for his lunch which was behind mine. Arrrrgggghhhhh. The refrigerator isn't even crowded! I was stuck with string cheese and almonds.....
That stinks! At least you were able to stay legal!
Kate: I vote the guy at work buys your replacement lunch! Good thing you had your snacks with you! I'm making another Chinese chicken salad. Seem to be kind of hooked on them lately.
Is this recipe on the thread? Sounds yummy.
I'm trying to get myself into a schedule for swimming and need to bite the bullet and commit to certain times. I find if I just leave it to whatever I feel like that day, I will put it off and then probably not go at all. I like to go swim first thing in the morning, shower at the gym and then go to work. I'm not real good at exercising later in the day. My hat goes off to all of you who are able to do this.

Counseling hasn't been happening for my DH and me these past few weeks. I decided that his ADD needed to be tackled first.
Carol-That is one reason I do better with my scheduled Zumba classes. Everyone in the family knows when I am going and they don't make plans for me at that time. Good luck getting your DH's ADD treated.

Okay, since we're talking of duct tape.........What are really the only 2 tools that you need in your tool box?
WD 40 for things that don't move and should.....Duct tape for all those things that move and shouldn't. :lmao:
Cute joke!
Well, managed to procure eggs, another cauliflower, 3 green peppers, some cheese, an onion, 2 small containers of ricotta, small bag of pistachos, kielbasa, and two packages of sugar free deli turkey breast...any ideas for this interesting conglomeration of items!
Sounds like a good veggie omelette to me!
OMG! Brad and Halle have been on a wake-up-at-4:00a.m. kick.... They try to be quiet but it doesn't last for long. Plus, Brad turns the heat on because the rest of the house is cold but our bedroom is small and pretty soon I wake up because I feel like I am suffocating. Arrrrggggghhh.

My DH does that too in the morning. Forces me to get up because I am so miserably hot. He doesn't seem to appreciate my 62 degree thermostat at night!:cutie:

Well, I would love to be able to say Good Morning...but I think Snow Morning would be more appropriate!! LOL, I have awoken to 4 inches and snowing extremely hard...no need to call the hotline, but did anyway just to see what they had to say! haha, told everyone to stay home and be safe...I guess insurance companies are not interested in paying out claims for people trying to get to work. Sounds like it's ugly there, let's hope everyone is safe at home where they need to be!

Things have been busy around my life. Last week my friend and I painted my living room (still need to finish touch ups and stripe the accent wall). This week after Monday Morning Moms coffee she came by to help me decide on some picture frames and we ended up at Hancock Fabrics where I found material to redo my kitchen bar stools and the dining room chairs. My living room and kitchen are open to each other and I am trying to "tie them in together". So far I have recovered 6 dining room chairs, 1 desk chair and 3 bar stools. I still have 2 bar stools left and then the upholstery work is done. I think we are planning to do the accent wall and touch up work on Monday a.m. after coffee. She is so wonderful about decorating and I am way too linear to do that type of work.

Amelia finished her grounding this Wednesday a.m. She is glad to be off restrictions and enjoying seeing the TV again.:happytv:

Bob's Club has been on shutdown last week and this week. It's been nice to have him home on the weekends and to know that he will be home at night. As of next Wednesday, we'll be back to our "normal" schedule. YUCK.

Well, I am at work and trying to work on the end of the year stuff for the taxes, so I had better sign off for now.

Have a great day and I'll try to see you over the weekend.

Beverly: Yippee for Amelia being off grounding! Bless her heart. I know she's so happy to have that incident behind her. When I found out that people's brains literally don't mature until age 25 it helped explain a lot, lol! Do you ever find yourself asking your kids in an incredulous voice, "What were you thinking??" They weren't, lol! Global warming causes extreme weather on both ends of the scale. We sure have had extremes the last couple of years. I think we'd better get serious about putting up food and emergency water supplies. We keep talking about it, but we never do it. We live so close to the store that we've become lazy about running over there whenever we want.

Kate: Isn't it amazing about the bike riding in big cities? J-P rides in the pouring rain in Portland. He wears brightly colored jackets and has lights front and back. If your client wants to lose money, she should donate it to a childrens' victim's group. What a difficult position for you to be in! I'm glad you had so much fun with Demi!

Jocelyn: I'm off for "Paws" myself this am. It's nice you have so very many friends and you are pretty good about adapting your menues in spite of all the socializing. You should write a book about party food!

Robin: Glad you get to stay in and enjoy the cuddle time at home with Harley and a good book - and all of us! Stay safe! I had to go out in pouring rain last night to an area that's not so great about 25 miles from home to view a house for an investment client. It was very clean and tidy and I feel so sorry for the little family that is going to lose it. I am representing their neighbor's daughter and if she gets the house, she's going to let them stay and rent so it would be the best solution. Unfortunately, the bank won't care about the outcome - just the $$.

Did anyone see Oprah yesterday about preventing or reversing diabetes? It was a wonderful show. Bob Greene said if you add apple cider vinegar to anything, it lowers the glycemic effect of that food. Wow! He was using it in salad dressing. I used to drink it and take kelp and lecithin pills at the same time. I bet you could put a T in water and just drink it before any meal and get the same benefit because it wouldn't taste good on every food - i.e., fruit. I'm pulling it out of the pantry today. Can't hurt and is supposed to have a lot of good qualities. If you missed the show, you might want to visit her website and get some good tips.

Everyone wear your red today to show support for the American Heart Association! I'm proud of us all for doing our part to become more healthy!

There was a woman on the LCF forum that swore by Braggs - she drank it everyday. I was never clear on what Braggs was but I have the feeling it might be apple cidar vinegar? Does anyone know?

I got my paws done on Saturday. There was a woman there with her husband. We were sitting next to each other and started chatting. She said it was her birthday - her husband's present was that they could do anything she wanted to do all day long. So far, they had gone out to breakfast, gone for a walk, they were getting mani-pedi's (his first), and then they were off to see a play. I asked if they were going to out to dinner - she said "of course and I hope to think of something else to do between the play and dinner!" I thought it was very cute! I told Brad and he said he would gladly do whatever I wanted on my birthday. :)

The bike messengers that dart around practically give me heart failure! I couldn't believe how many I saw last night that weren't wearing brightly colored jackets. Black - how am I supposed to see them in the rain????

Good morning - it's still morning here!!!

I posted the recipes so they are in the proper place. I should just write them in there to begin with, but I don't check there very often and just copy what people write that I want from the regular posts.

I wrote about the Braggs Apple Cider at Christmas time. It was featured in Woman's World or First. I went to a luncheron and Bragg's daughter, Patricia, was there. She is in her 80's and as cute as can be. There is a web site you can go to. http://www.bragg.com/ They also make amino acids that people like.

The apple cider is unfiltered and not bad tasting. It is suggested you make your salad dressings with it, but I have also consumed it in water. My tummy is not fond of it that way, though!!!

If only we could lose all the weight we want by drinking 2 teaspoons of safflower oil and one tablespoon of cider vinegar we would not have anyone overweight!!!! It somehow just doesn't work that way!:confused3

Off to play bridge for the afternoon and out to dinner tonight so will check in later.

Kate, if your client needs to lose the money, just have her send it to my address. I'll make it disappear for her LOL.
The Bragg's is the name brand of an apple cider vinegar (ACV). It is to be "the best of the best" as far as ACV goes. I know the kind that is called mother ACV is tops. Also, I know as far as dogs go, the mother kind is best. It's 100% pure and natural. Nothing taken out of it. It helps with their urine acid (no brown spots in the yard) and also makes their coats very soft and shiny. A tablespoon in their water bowl does the trick. I know it's good for humans also.

Robin, the snow started here this afternoon around 1. It is now a bit heavier. We have about 1/2" of snow now. The roads are just now starting to get a bit nasty. Here in Indiana, PA were are to get about 10" of snow by tomorrow afternoon. I am supposed to meet a couple friends at the mall for lunch tomorrow, but I think they will cancel. Where they live they are calling for at least a foot of snow. We are hunkered down and lots of milk and coffee for me. Thankfully if we do need anything, we are within walking distance to get it. Please be careful if you have to venture out.

I'll be back in a while guys. Need to take a nap. My congestion is back full blast and I am really tired. I think I have been over doing it a bit lately :(

I love this and I think the husbands would glady do whatever we want to keepthem from having to shop alone for our gifts.:rotfl2: There's nothing more painful than a guy wandering around the mall. Tom's taking me out on Wednesday. We don't know what we're doing yet as most of my favorite things include a lot of walking, but even a drive will be nice - with all meals covered from sunup to sundown!:)

When I drank the cider vinegar in high school I remember I lost 14 inches. I don't know why I stopped or never tried it again, but I think I will now - see what happens. Can't hurt.:confused3

Well, we only have about 10 inches so far, ( ONLY?? ) and it is now warmed up some and turned to sleet and freezing rain...supposed to get cold again during the night and turn back to snow, and continue through tomorrow evening, so who knows how much we will really get in total...I would think the sleet would disolve some of the accumulation so far? The roads are absolutely treacherous though and they are already reporting fatalities....so I am staying PUT! Went out at 5 and shoveled off the vehicles and got the ponies some more hay for the night, and had to clear the ice off my satellite as the Direct TV kept breaking up...a sure sign of ice accumulation!

Kathy - you need to hole up again too...take care of that cold and stay off the roads! LOL, I was going to respond to Kate the same way you did! I can make $300,000 go away very quickly, between mortgage, Ali's school loan, and my desperate need for a newer car!

Lisa - You KNOW I love you, but may I just say this...apple cider vinegar in water? YUK YUK YUK!!!!!!!!!:lmao:

Jocelyn - I love reading the articles in First and Womens World, and learn interesting things every week, but it kind of ticks me off that they report all those ridiculous losses with the weekly diet plan they feature...one week its no carbs, the next its carbs, then its low fat, then its high protein...the older woman who has the office next to mine at work is about 150 pounds overweight and after reading my Womens World went out and bought the safflower oil...she has been diligently drinking it every morning and is just SO disappointed that she hasnt lost her belly fat! She insists that the article stated that they had a test group of women and they ALL lost 4- 7 inches of belly fat in a month....of course she doesnt figure in the fact that she eats biscuits and gravy every morning and fried junk food at lunch time!! Who knows what she eats when she is at home!

Bev - LOL, love the idea to use the Bernaise as bait for my filet mignon trap! And the beer would DEFINITELY attract a pizza Im SURE!!

Ken in in a tizzy worrying about me here...I told him I have it ALL under control! Kind of nice to have a big ole man worry about me!

HOLD ON A MINUTE HERE!!! Lisa , you lost 14 pounds with the vinegar? OMG, BRING ON THE APPLE CIDER VINEGAR!!!:dance3:

Robin, be careful out there with all the sleet and such. I would think it would pack down the snow a bit, then you'll have that great ice layer on top of it :(
We went for a walk. Tyson was all bundled up LOL. We have about 5" of snow so far. We were gone for about an hour and Mike shoveled the sidewalks before we left. He is now doing it again. Our neighbor is in FL on vacation, so we are tending their sidewalk as well. Every time they go to FL, we get a snow storm! I'm going to tell them next year to go in July LOL.

Lisa, enjoy your vinegar. I did try the vinegar pills once but got major heart burn. May have to try it again. I have heard about how good it is for belly fat and such.

Ok, going to watch House then off to bed I think. Didn't get my nap, usually if I nap, it really screws up my night time sleep.
Later everyone!!

Just had an e-mail from GeorgiaLee...appears she is NOT off plan, but returned to step 1 on Diane's recommendation, as she did with me. Says she has now lost 70 pounds, is under the 300 pound mark, and only 90 more to go...wondered if I had seen the Oprah thing, which I didnt, since I cannot STAND Oprah...so fill me in...was that the vinegar thing?

14 inches, darlin', but that might be better than 14 lbs. I only measured major locations. I wish I had loved that girl more; she had a rockin' bod and didn't know it, lol!

You can read the transcript on Oprah.com. Bob Greene was talking about the vinegar. Don't you diss my Oprah, now!!!!! I have learned so much from her show; it's changed my life. It's where I found out most of the things that have kept me from despair: Dr. Perricone, Dr. Teitelbaum, bio-identical hormones just to name a few.

Good morning everyone. Well, I am sort of snowed in. It is still snowing pretty good, a finer snow. We got about a foot I'd say last night. Mike was up until 3 am shoveling every hour or so trying to keep on top of it. He is such a sweetie. I need to go out and do it again. I am going to measure it when I venture out.
It's official. Cuddle duds DO keep you warm, as well as Carhardt socks LOL. I wore them all last night on our walk. My feet didn't get cold at all nor did my legs and such. I did have my trench coat on though too. It's nice and long and keeps my legs warm.
Robin, Diane and anyone else affected by this storm, please be careful if you venture out. It is nasty out there!! There are interstates shut down here, counties are declaring states of emergencies. The last snow like this we had they are saying was the snow of '93. How well I remember that one LOL. They are telling everyone to stay off the roads and if you have to go out, use 4 wheel drive.
Ok, going to check email :surfweb: and watch a bit of tv. :happytv: I really need to clean up this house today!!:laundy:
Later everyone. :lovestruc

Kathy: Good for you for going on a walk on such a day! Glad you kept warm! I love Cuddle Duds. I get itchy under cashmere, etc. and they are fantastically soft. We love Smart Wool socks too. It's pouring rain here today, but supposed to clear later. I tried to work all day yesterday and was really swollen and sore last night. Lazing around this am. Think I sold two houses though, so I guess it was worth it. Makes me wonder what on earth I am going to do with my Mom and sister tomorrow. She's coming home for two days for my birthday. I guess a long lunch with a lot of chatting is in order.

Robin: I forgot to mention that the subject of the Oprah show was Dr. Oz trying to turn around the dramatic increases in diabetes in the country. It was really valuable to show people what happens to your body slowly on the inside. We just had a friend lose his leg to the disease and it's the same way my FIL died so I think it will make a lot of people sit up and take notice of their diet and health. Toward the end, they showed how to make some substitutions with healthier foods and Bob Greene said adding cider vinegar to anything lowers its glycemic index, i.e., putting it on a potato. I'm so proud of you for sticking to a program that can reverse your diabetes.
