"The Varsity" was featured on a food show last night. It appeared to be a "crazy", fun place with loads of great employees!

I love hotdogs, especially when served so many different ways and would love to hear of your experiences in this wild establishment.

A family member lives in Georgia, I may have to visit! ;)

The Varsity is definately a great place to visit. Any time I'm in Atlanta, I make a point of getting a hot dog and an order of onion rings. Oh, and don't forget the frosted orange. A trip to Atlanta is not complete without a Varsity hotdog.

we watched that show last night too - I can't believe some of the employees have been there for 50+ years! The food looks delicious!

It is fun and good. Not amazing -at least not to me -my DD would disagree.
Worth a stop if you are in the area -but not worth a special trip.

Onion rings are great -and It is a good place to people watch. Not in the best part of town -but downtown Atlanta is a little grubby to me.

"Whattayahave, whattayahave, whattayahave..." Don't get in line unless you are positive you know what you are ordering! It's a fun place, but I couldn't eat there often. The onion rings are great!

My college boyfriend was from Atlanta. He made a point of taking me there for the experience once. Fun. :)

We :lovestruc the Varsity. It is an experience. One of our favorite things to do is watch the newbies come in and try to figure it all out. My younger daughter thinks anytime we go to "Atlanta" that we must stop at the Varsity. It doesn't matter what part of town we might be in, she ALWAYS asks.

My DF and I were laughing about the fact that I could see myself stepping up to the counter and saying "Well, let me see, I think I'll have...".

He stated "You'd better know what you want in that place, they won't wait for you to make up your mind"!

I don't think I've ever seen a place that was SO packed with customers.

I get to Atlanta quite often on business, so I ate there once, and it didn't do anything for me. Didn't see any crazy antics, and the food was typical fast food.

We saw it on Travel Channel several months ago and have been wanting to go ever since. We are only 2 hrs from Atlanta but have been too busy to make a trip yet. Hopefully soon....me and DH are stoked about going there!!

Hopefully things will settle down and we can go soon...it looks like fun!!
