I received a small George Foreman grill as a Christmas gift. I've never had one before and I'm excited about using it. It doesn't include too many recipes and I was wondering if you could tell me what you've prepared using your GF grill (this has the bun warmer). I've heard that it makes excellent grilled cheese sandwiches and would love some other ideas. Anyone?

We mostly use ours to grill meat. I do steaks, hamburgers, pork chops, chicken, etc. I think you'll really like it. :)

We do a variety of marinades and rubs with boneless pieces of meat. the best tip I can give you is when you're done cooking unplug it and then put 2 sheets of wet paper towel between the grills. It steams away the gunk while you eat!:thumbsup2 makes clean up MUCH easier. (I do stay away from rubs and marinades with sugar though. It's tougher to clean up. Those recipes are for the outdoor grill.;) )

We ususally just do hamburgers.

You might try googling recipies for the GF grill, I know we have gotten instruction manuals for different things and recipies for my ice cream maker this way.

I usually just grill meat with mine. I love it!

I always spray my grill before it heats up with the high heat version of PAM. Makes cleaning much easier.

I grill fish/salmon on mine. Veggies, too. Anything that you would cook outside on your big grill can be done on the GF. I use mine constantly!

My family loves to make hot panini sandwiches in our George Foreman. I buy Pepperidge Farms split hoagie rolls and put whatever type of cheese or deli meat on them.

Mostly hamburgers or chicken breasts (frozen). It's nice if one of the kids wants a hamburger its easy to just take one out of the freezer and make for them.

I had just ordered a bunch of Crab Cakes from QVC and put these on the George Foreman. Turned out good and very easy.

We have a large GF that is several years old. My grandmother bought it for me when I made the mistake of complaining our small one (which we'd gotten as a wedding present) just wasn't big enough.

I make all kinds of things on my George..though I've never tried grilling veggies. My favorite thing to make on there is quesadillas.

GF Chicken Quesadillas
1 can chunk chicken, drained (or you can use left over chicken, just make sure to shred it first)
1 carton (???) garden style or onion/chive cream cheese, softened (it's right next to the regular creamcheese at the grocery store)
1 cup of shredded cheese (we usually use either cheddar or monterrey jack. Use whatever you like)
1 pkg large flour tortillas

In a large bowl (and you may have to use your hands..I always do!), mix together all of the ingredients except the tortillas. Spoon a generous amount of the chicken/cheese mix onto 1/2 of each tortilla and fold over. Press down to make sure it stays folded over.
Cook each quesadilla on your GF for 2-4 minutes. Remove to a cooling rack or plate and let cool for 5 minutes. Slice with a pizza slicer (or not!) and enjoy!

I couldn't agree more with this. My brother and I did a marketing tour throughout the midwest a few summers ago and the GF grill was one of the 17 products we promoted, so we cooked on one every single day. The main things we cooked were chicken, steak, and pork cutlets (all marinated--the marinades were another of the products we had to sell) and hot dogs and brats. Of the "real" meat, I think I liked the chicken best--it came out VERY moist and juicy.

If anyone's interested, the marinades were the McCormick's 30-minute marinades (Zesty Herb, Southwest, Montreal Steak, Spicy Caribbean--my personal favorite--and another whose name escapes me at the moment) and all seemed to work quite well with the meats/grill; I didn't notice that any seemed any "stickier" than others.

Have fun w/ the new grill!

We use George for hamburgers and pork chops a lot. My tip is to put the non stick aluminum foil on the top and bottom, cleaning up is so easy then.

I always spray mine with olive oil or pam and it always cleans up easy.

I don't have any recipes to add but I think I will try TOV's Quesadillas.

It makes wonderful hamburgers.

When we replaced our original GF grill I bought one with removable plates that you can put in the dishwasher.

We just made panini sandwiches with pastrami, capicola, provolone cheese, and olive oil and vinegar dressing on top.
Toasty, melty, and delicious!!
