So I'm flip flopping between two choices: 8:25 am Garden Grill or noon Rose and Crown. I've never eaten at either and want to cross one of them off my list. We're just doing Epcot in the am for Soarin, Test Track, Baymax, Joy & Sadness, and the Mexico boat ride. I will also be doing a couple of F&W booths (mainly the cheese soup), but don't want to do too many so I don't blow my budget (too much), haha. I'm also doing Club Villain at 5:15 that night. Planning on leaving Epcot around 1pm. TIA!!

I can see why you're flip-flopping.

Assuming a 9:00 am open, that 8:25 ADR will probably eat in to rope drop attractions. Since you can't FP+ both Soarin' and TT, you're going to have to wait in line for one of those. Can you do the single rider at TT? If you can, I would probably choose this option. The other possibility is you can get into EP around 8:00 and be seated when you arrive. Pay your bill when you're seated, and you should be finished by 8:45 to get out to Soarin' before the rope drop crowds arrive. This would give you the FP for TT.

I like the Garden Grill ADR better because you will still be able to enjoy one or two F&W booths around noon and not feel too full. If you do F&W and then try to eat a meal at R&C, you might be too full to really enjoy R&C.

I would do Garden Grill - although we have never eaten there, I have heard great things. We were just at R & C and were not thrilled with the food at all. I would try the 8 am arrival at epcot plan and go for GG.

I actually will not be doing FP for Epcot since there's only 3 things I want to ride, I have all my FP set for DHS later in the day since there are more things I'd like to try and do there before Club Villain (I have FP for ST, TGMR and Tower, would like to try and fit in Muppets and maybe RNRC). I'll have my friend Mike with me, but we've done single rider before so that's not a problem there, for TT or RNRC.

For us, we wouldn't sacrifice being at attractions at RD to do a breakfast ADR. For that reason alone, we'd do R&C. But we really enjoy R&C and would do it for that reason, too. Also, beer flight. :D

Since you dont hace FP I would definitely get an 8AM Garden Grill so you are done and on your way before rope drop..Will give you one of the first in line at Soarin with no rush across the park! Will add that much more to the time you have. ..Where R&C adds nothing extra.

I dunno...for me breakfast is breakfast and I don't care to pay that much for it. I quite enjoy R&C myself. Now if you were doing GG for lunch, then yeah GG all the way.

I enjoy Rose and Crown. Plus, I always think it is nice to be able to sit and relax for a nice lunch with some cool libations after a morning of running from ride to ride.

I definitely wouldn't do any breakfast that's at 8:25 and would eat into rope drop time. I would choose the noon reservation just based on that, as someone said above.

Thanks for the help, I forgot that my friend may have to work that day (he's a CM), so I guess I'll make a decision once I know when/if he has to work that day.

R & C has better food....I'm not a fan of the family style no choice option at Garden Grill. It was just another way for WDW to limit selections and flip tables faster. I do like hearing the dog barking when the restaurant rotates to the farm house though.pug:pixiedust:
