Trying to purchase for our trip that starts tomorrow. I’m getting an error saying, the dates you are trying to purchase are no longer available. Any help is appreciated!

Do you have annual passes or regular multi-day park tickets? Annual pass holders can only purchase G+ after midnight of the date they wish to use it - I don't know if that's your issue, but it's a place to start!

Are you trying to add for 1 day or entire length of stay?

If only for 1 day you need to wait until after midnight and book then.

? That’s seems strange. I wonder if it’s actually correct??
mid try calling again.
best of luck OP.
safe travels and Enjoy!

Does that even make sense? I would think WDW would want their $15/person whether or not parks were out of reservations.

And since Disney has said they aren’t putting a cap on Genie+ sales, that can’t be it.

Curious. Anyway OP hope everything goes smoothly once you get there!

Well I just tried to buy tickets for the same dates and you can’t. Here’s a screenshot. So I think the CM was correct. When you add Genie plus in advance, the process must be that they issue a new ticket. And since most of the days we are there are unavailable, it can’t be added. She assured me I could add daily. You can bet if I can’t, I’ll be taking it up with guest services.

Between calling THREE TIMES and being either on hold, getting my call dropped or actively talking to a support person for 4+ HOURS, I wish I just checked these boards first (I never got an answer from Disney btw). I'm in the same boat with tickets during Christmas.

This trip just keeps getting more complicated. Now I need to make sure I purchase genie+ for my family each morning before 7 so that I can book the first genie+ reservations at 7 a.m.

The 7 am booking time really is the worst thing about this new system. There is simply no reason for it. They could set it to 8:30 AM and have the same effect if they just upgraded their damned IT infrastructure.

Seriously. Who wants to get up at dark thirty on vacation (especially if you are from the west coast, where it will feel like 4 am :( )

This exactly! We’re from a MT zone and it was brutal to wake up at 6:50am (4:50am to us) then try to max out your park days

You’re never going to find a time that will make everyone happy.

For people who are already up early to get to a park at rope drop, 7 AM is as good as anything.

Pushing it back to 8 or 8:30 would not be convenient at all for people already at DHS or MK for early entry. At 8:30 early entry guests are on their way to their first attractions.

If you are going to DHS or MK for early entry, you could go to the resort bus stop just before 7, make your first LL reservation at 7, and then get a bus and be at the park about the time guests are being let in.

For us, it’s a great way to start a Disney day.

I am having the same issue for my trip starting tomorrow. I have been waiting for a response in the chat feature for over 2 hours, and now my expected wait time on the phone is over 3 hours. All I am trying to do is give them money. Seriously. How much louder could Disney scream STAY AWAY!!!?

As an update to my post above, after a hold time of less than 3 hours, a very helpful cast member was able to add genie+ to my reservation. So, it does seem like now, if you call, they are able to resolve the issue with adding genie +.

I just had to call to add mine- sounds like the issue is because they are going to be limiting how many they sell on the portal if parks are at capacity. The days we go parks are almost at capacity and sold out.

Just curious - what has given you the impression they will limit daily Genie+ sales? Have you heard this from someone connected with WDW or are you just speculating? Because Disney has previously said they won’t be limiting Genie+ sales. Thanks!

When I called I told her I have a 2 day ticket and park reservations and I’m not able to add it online. We are going right before Xmas and parks are sold out of reservations when we go. At first she started by telling me some days there are not enough tickets- because of crowd levels.

She said we are tying to make sure our guests have a good experience and with the holidays- guests don’t just want 1 or 2 passes and that has been happening. I told her I’d take the gamble. So she added for me manually. She said they are trying to come up with a solution with this being so new. I work in customer service and I feel like she was being honest- just my 2 cents
