Genie plus bug?

When I was at WDW I ordered length of stay genie plus for family who did not have an annual pass. We were all staying together. When I went to order Genie Plus on the first day for my family it would not work. I had to go to customer service before 7 and buy from them. They said there was a known bug on this that had not been fixed. Is this still going? We are going back this Sunday and am trying to figure out my genie plus options this time. Any info/advice is appreciated.

I neglected to say we have annual passes. My bad.
 
I had no problem buying day of G+ for a party that included some with AP’s and some with regular tickets in both December of last year and February of this year. Not sure when you experienced the bug.

January 2022. Did you do then same day? I purchased the non AP people ahead of time.
 

I purchased regular park tickets for 2 in my group of 6. 4 already have annual passes. I did not purchase Genie+ ahead of time for the regular tickets. I was wondering how this would work the morning of our park day? I was hoping that I could purchase Genie+ for all 6 at the same time at 7am on our park day. Anyone else have experience with this situation?

I haven't heard if it's fixed. However, you are right. The bug specifically requires that the non-AP ones are purchased in advance. I would just purchase them all each day, unless someone specifically states that it's fixed now. It's pretty easy. If you are purchasing any, I think you can purchase them all at the same time each day. I don't think it requires separate transactions for each type, but I could be wrong. We all have APs, so I haven't tried it.

This is correct, it let me buy for everyone in one transaction each morning.

It is still an issue. As previous posters mentioned, easiest option is for everyone to purchase day of. If some already have Genie+ on their tickets then you’ll likely have to call. I’ve put the info post below.
GENIE+ for ANNUAL PASSHOLDERS

- Guests who have an AP and all guests on their reservation have an AP, will be eligible to purchase G+ after midnight

- Guests who have an AP and other guest on their reservation have regular tickets that have NOT had G+ purchased for length of stay, will be eligible to purchase G+ for all guests after midnight

- When Annual Passholders are attempting to purchase Genie+, they may encounter a glitch IF the other people on their reservation have:
- regular park tickets AND​
- those guests purchased Genie+ for length of stay for their tickets​

- If this is your situation, you will not be able to purchase Genie+ for your Annual Pass at midnight. The system will not allow the purchase.

- The best option to fix is to call 1-407-939-4357 before 7:00 am and purchase Genie+ for AP(s). This number seems to be dedicated to Genie+ challenges and does not normally have a long wait time. Purchasing before 7:00 am will allow all guests to book Genie+ at 7:00 am.

- A common suggestion for the AP glitch is for guest services to advise guests to uninstall and reinstall the app. This does not fix the problem. Calling the number above should allow G+ to be purchased. Unfortunately it will mean a call each day you wish to add G+. :(
