Generic DIS response

Due to other demands in my life, I have had to cut down on the time I spend on DIS. So I have developed the following "form response" to save time. Feel free to suggest other items!

(1) No, it isn't just you. Your point of view may be insightful, strange, just plain goofy, or all of the above, but it is not unique.

(2) Yes, it would be wrong, as you well know. Yes, you can probably get away with it. No, you do not have my permission to do it even though it would save you money, other people do it, and one cast member once said it was OK.

(3) The information you seek is readily available at one or more of the following websites: wdwinfo.com, allearsnet.com, mousesavers.com, etc. But in the spirit of cooperation, here is the info: ___________________

(5) Yes, some people do get free upgrades, though it is rare. Just about all of the DIS people who have received one will post in this thread. Virtually none of the 95% of DIS people who have never received one will post here. You won't get one.

(6) That was a really great vent! I would have felt the same.

(7) I didn't bother to read your post because your subject gave no hint to what it was about.

(8) Thank you, thank you, thank you for contributing thoughtfully written reviews, insightful comments, a different point of view, and/or hard-to-find information, without attacking other posters. It's people like you who keep me (and many others) coming back.

Perhaps you should re examine your priorities - especially if this idea did not originate with you!

And of course you just CANNOT be talking about cutting the time you spend on the DVC Foum or the DVC Community Forum, right!!!!

I mean, come on, most of those repsonses wouldn't be appropriate for us DVC people for heaven's sake!!!

I was mostly talking about frustrations in responding in other forums, not the wonderful people in this one! And much as I probably should do it, I was kidding about spending less time here -- that was just a set-up!

Generic Resort Advice:

"Each of the resorts has something special to offer and you can have a magical vacation at any of the the DVC resorts. If you would like additional thoughts, please provide further information about your traveling party. How many children? What is your favorite park? Do you use room service? Will you have a car? Is there anyplace you would like to be near on WDW property? What time of year are you going? What type of accommodations are you looking for? Didn't you figure any of this stuff out yourself before buying?"

Specific Resort Advice:

"I think all of the resorts are great and you may wish to consider:

1) OKW - "If you are looking for a quieter location with a more laid back feel

2) BWV - "If you want to feel like you are in the center of it all"

3) VWL - "If you want to be close to MK and love the theming of WL"

4) BCV - "If you want to be close to EPCOT and enjoy the SAB, which is a water park unto itself"

5) SSR - "If you want to be close to Downtown Disney and experience the newest in DVC enjoyment"

6) HHI/VB - "If you want a wonderful Disney vacation without quite so many mice"

11) There's a DVC FAQ at the top of the page. You might want to check there first (as opposed to asking us to re-type it section by section because it's too much for you to read!).

12) Thanks for asking about the best room/best view at VWL. We find that the dumpster view at VWL provides a fair amount of much sought after seclusion.

13) Thanks for asking about the best room/best view at BWV. Most people really like the Preferred Room Views down at the far end of the resort overlooking the never-used tennis courts! Very peaceful, and you are only 12 steps from MGM once you get out the door there.

14) Thanks for asking about the best room/best view at OKW. Most people really like the first floor villas with tall bushes and trees surrounding the balcony.

15) No really....Use Year doesn't affect when you can make a reservation!!
