General Water Mice question... also ? about renting at OKW

Hope this is the appropriate forum..


A friend told me that there is a 300 lb weight limit for the water mice. Is this true? I am about 135 and DH is over 200 lbs. Will they go VERY slow due to this weight, and will we even be allowed to rent them?

Also, we are staying at OKW...is this a great place to rent them? What body of water will we be boating in? Is there better "scenery" somewhere else?

We had a group rent Water Mice in January at Ft Wilderness.

There is a weight limit on usage but the 300lbs still gives some room for displacement. I really think that you are still safe with a difference of 35.

Some of the couples we were with were WAY over that weight and still did fine. I don't think any of them really felt weighed down. They kept up with the rest of us easily.

BTW, our group had a ton of fun on them!

Thanks for the response...I think DH and I will really enjoy this. I guess each of us can go alone for a few minutes if we want to go really fast....

You won't sink but you won't zip Hi friend! When you rent at Ft. W. you have a large area to ride in. I can't remember the price but it is not that cheap but not too overpriced either.

Hello friend! Thanks for the response...I think it is about $20 for 30 minutes...maybe someone can shed some light on that as well. As you know, this is an anniversary trip for DH an me, so we are gonna splurge a bit!

Ok, ok, so I am smuggling some booze to drink by the pool so I don't have to spend so much at the pool bar ...but other than THAT...we are splurging! LOL!

DH puts his top shelf vodka in Aquafina bottles, tints with that blue sugar stuff so the kids don't grab the jet fuel by accident.

Oh that is too funny! DH is getting ready to siphon his rum into a water bottle four our trip this week and I am just having horrors of losing that very expensive water bottle! Last time we ran up such a horrendeous bar tab one night at Pop Century we vowed to get a better system this time!
