I understand no one knows yet, just trying to get some ideas in my head in case I need to be pro-active for mid June trip.
When Virtual Que’s were up for Rise and Remy - did you need to have a park reservation at that park , or would a Hopper suffice?

I believe if you wanted to join the virtual queue at 7 AM you had to have a reservation for the park. Otherwise you would have to wait for the afternoon drop drop, if there was one.

I can't speak to Remy, since I did not experience that while it was on the virtual queue. But for Rise, a park reservation was required for both the morning and the afternoon virtual queue attempts.

The afternoon one for Rise was at 1 PM EST ( at some point ) and you had to be in Hollywood Studios. So it was before park hopper could start.
Exactly. The afternoon queue moved from 2 pm to 1 pm in December 2020, right before park hopping resumed in Jaunary, which ensured that having a park reservation would still be a requirement to join the queue regardless of hopping ability.

Ok thanks figured that would be the answer, I just want to make sure I have adequate opportunities now. Once it all goes into effect, the craziness may occur.

Occasionally the 1pm drop lasted until shortly after 2pm for Remy which allowed hoppers to join if in the park. In fact the same happened for Rise last year during low crowds in August when the Delta variant cases were high in Florida. I doubt the 1pm drop will last that long for Guardians though.
