head spinning here, must admit i've never booked a 'real' pkg thru WDTC, just room only so bear with me please here

The Platinum pkg offer for 25% was so tempting (as we've never done any of the tours, cirque, etc); thought it would be our chance to finally check them out:hyper:

Figured out what 3 days i'd work it in during split stay end of June, decided upon the right tix purchase that'd equal out to an AP upgrades (fyi, the pkg is 25% entire amt, including whatever tix u choose & the Platinum pkg itself -$209 pp/daily) & gave WDTCo a call today, prepared to book

i was quoted approx $3k (declining the TI) for 3 days @ CR GV for 3 adults, gave my CC info, etc.

got the confirming email & it's $200 more:confused3 . I call & they tell me they always take the minimum down payment off ur pkg quote...just doesn't seem right to me...know it's only $200 difference (yet that is alot of mickey bars;) )

so, just wondering, is this the way it's supposed to work & should just concentrate on planning itinerary or should i call back & ask to speak to a supervisor to ask for clarification?

When I have booked packages the CM tells me the total price, and then the balance due along with the due date. Perhaps that's the number that you wrote down, and the CM didn't make it clear what number they were giving you.

Congrats on booking your trip! That is exciting.

I just pulled up my invoice to see what it says...and basically mine says the total price of the package on one line...then the next line says TOTAL PAID AS OF: and my $200 is in there. The third line says AMOUNT DUE BY and it is the amount owed minus my $200 initial payment. In a seperate group under that there is a box that says PAYMENT HISTORY and my $200 payment shows up in there too.

I don't know if this helps you at all. I hope it does!

okay, makes sense the way u guys put it:thumbsup2 OT - had to laugh when i printed it out...i have never seen such a long confirmation, think there were 19 pages...guess i need to set some time aside & actually read it!

thanks

What is the platinum package?

the platinum pkg is basically an all inclusive, yet has always been too pricey for me to consider

cliff notes version of platinum plan:

deluxe resort
tix of your choice (adjusts the overall price of plan)
platinum pkg (all TS, includes victoria's & alberts & any most other venues including shows & the 2 TS ones; FW cruise, golf, so many other amazing experiences)

the 25% off sale is off the entire pkg, not just the room only & is a min of 3 nights

i plan on stretching the DP & activities over 4 days, then moving onto DVC stay & also buying large enough tix to flip over to my Annual Pass, so the numbers worked for us this year.

im used to doing split stays, moving 2 or 3 times during 9 - 10 days, only way i can get things to work for us & keep everybody in my family happy:goodvibes

ive read that this 'sale' is rather unprecedented:thumbsup2
