General Public Room-Only Codes

Can anyone tell me what kind of discounts these codes have offered in the past? Particularly for Deluxe Resorts? And are there restrictions, such as only being able to apply the code if you are staying Sun-Thurs? Do they black out Saturday nights?

My family is staying at Wilderness Lodge 11/9 - 11/16 with the 40% off code. We are actually arriving in Orlando on 11/8, but the 40% off code for packages didn't start until the 9th. My mom wants to stay at the Residence Inn in Lake Buena Vista on the night of the 8th, but if I can get a room-only code for that night, I would rather go ahead and check in at the Wilderness Lodge. That way, on the morning of the 9th, we can get right to the parks and start PLAYING!!!

So, I'm just wondering what kind of discount to hope for and whether I would even be able to use it on a Saturday night anyway... Thanks for any help or knowledge you could impart!

Disney does not offer a whole lot in the way of room only discounts. Most things are based on a package. One of the most reliable room only discount is a AAA discount. These are usually between 10-20 percent, based on the resort and time of year. You need to be a AAA member to get the discount.

This was the info ad on the room only discounts offered for some dates including last November (this offer first came out on 9/27/07, and you had to book by 10/21)- the ad only shows the value resorts, but other resorts (Mods/Dlx) were also able to be booked if available - for example CBR was $109 per night. I think (not 100% sure though) that the WL was $149 std room certain nights - I DO remember DISers who got that price were very happy.

Sorry but last year they didn't have the weekend thing so the ad doesn't mention that - I really don't know what they will do this year about weekends, blackouts, etc. :
