General Public FD question

Do you think the free dinning that the Disney Visa holders got today will come out for the general public and if so when?Also has anyone gotten the free dinning starting on Nov28th?Thanks

BUt was your offer a PIN code or bounceback, or was it a VISA/AP/GP type code?

I tried using the VISA code for free dining for our second reservation starting on 11/30 and was told that VISA/FD was good until November 22 and then nothing again until December 14.

We leave the morning of December 14 so that won't help us. I did manage to get the FD for the first part of our trip 11/16 to 11/25....which seemed odd to me since it supposedly was only good until 11/22...but hey I got my confirmation that shows 11/25 and free dining for the whole time, so I'm a happy camper! I've printed out two copies of it, one is in my binder and I was feeling so much like it's solid gold, that I put the other copy in the lockbox with the important papers, lol. (Praying DH doesn't look in there as he'll definitely know I'm off my rocker, lol).

Since we were going to be paying OOP for the dining plan, and our room rate barely changed from the AP rate we had, for me it's totally free food, which I had budgeted $700, so that's a fantastic savings to me.

Of course, I'm also greedy enough to want to do the same thing for the other portion of our visit!

VISA code. And I asked about the dates; CM said they were good through 12/24. Of course, I did not get a confirmed booking on that, but the price she quoted was with the FD.

The CM pulled up just those dates and quoted me a price for them at the BWI w/ FD. I ended up not taking it, but she told me that it was offered for those dates and thru 12/24. If you get a CM who says it is not, I would call back and try for another who might say that it is.

I did not book it. I changed my mind and booked dates before my T-giving trip. I was quoted the same deal with the same price for both sets of dates. (11/19-11/22 and 11/30-12/3)

Sorry for any confusion.

I told the CM that I didn't think those dates were part of the offer. She said that they were and gave me a quote.

To everyone questioning this. We check in on Nov. 22 (The last day of the offer until after Thanksgiving). We got the Disney Visa offer today and were able to get it for the whole trip even though it was to end the day we check in. Our package dropped $1900 off rack rate ($900+ more than our previous code. So, hope that helps you to know what may be ahead...

So hope that they offer this to the GP. In the past few years that have had a GP offer agter the Visa offer in Dec. Should we cross our fingers, toes, and eyes? Some of us could really use some now.

The free dining and most other package discounts for the GP come out 2-3 days after the Visa Cardholder discount. So, I am counting on Sunday to be the day! Please, oh please be right!

I called 2 times yesterday and both CMs told me that my dates (11/28-12/5) were not being offered.

As for if this would available to the GP, I don't think it will since Disney already has a code out for packages for the same time frame. But that is just my humble opinion.

It seems WDW must have many rooms unbooked to offer all the room only discounts as well as a free dining one. If it goes GP there must be really a lot since the first dates are in a little over a week!

There are a few package codes that expire on the 24 and the 27th however in the past the few years the when the Dec. visa package has become available a few days after for the GP. i have gone in dec. that past three years and the visa code was followed by the GP. But since this is such an offer it is almost too much to hope for and nothing is craved in stone.
